  • It’s a good’un.

Not only is the Arturia one good fun, it sounds GREAT, I just used it to mix a live recording. Nice and think but it for in the mix really well and wasn’t overly metallic. I have it mainly on voice and string quartet, a little of the piano as well, tiny bit of drums (plenty of natural ambience in that hall). I also used some Valhalla room on a wide stereo hall setting for piano and strings, and echoboy doing a simple, subtle dual delay and running back into the plate to wash it out a little.

This is a really great gift from Arturia. It seems to be a little lighter on cpu than the waves abbey road plate as well.

If I’m allowed to post a sample of the recording I will.

Warning; I find Installing IK software to be an incredibly annoying experience.

IK Multimedia have somehow devised a system where they copy everybody elses methods of installing plug-ins and take the worst aspects of each system and bundle them all together into one unpleasant whole.

So after making you type in your username and password countless times (no pasting allowed) and regardless of whether you only want to install your one plug-in one plug-in format, the installer will infest your HD with all the T-Racks plug-ins in every format whether you like it or not. And they will also put every bloody plug-in into your plug-in folders so you end up with a load of plug-ins you can't and/or don't want to use clogging up your plug-ins list.

And as a result, that one plug-in will take up over 1.5 GB (!!!) of storage on your HD.

And they even install a separate shop app.

    Yeuch.

Worth it for Black 76? I'm not so sure. YMMV.

I found that out yesterday! See how it goes as got Isotope Elements 9 Limiter so probably won’t get much use out of this.
