Is IOS13 now safe? (13.3)
Hey all, after reading warnings about 13, is this now safe to use? Tried to find some answers but not had much luck.
Thanks

I took a lot of time to update, and was on 12.3.1 for a while.
I was waiting mostly for NanoKEY Studio BT fix,
I’ve updated my 7 Plus two days ago, but dit it with my SE and daughter’s Air 3 one month ago.
Everything works well here. Seems to be a bit faster too. Latency is more stable at low values. All my apps work well including AB/IAA setups.
Only small issue I had is when I export buffer to Files from Enso. It’s important after update to sign in again all your cloud storage accounts and no more Files searching issues.
Great to hear. I’ll be updating today!
I hear its not safe for Auria pro i believe. Auria pro users can confirm or quickly check their forum to double check.
Well I’m a user so I’ll check it out and get back to you. I just upgraded!
Auria pro looks pretty good to me, but I've not tested it properly yet.
I'd be interested to know more about this as I am contemplating whether to upgrade the OS from 12.3.1.
I haven't seen anything about Auria Pro being incompatible. The only report I have seen by someone claiming an iOS 13 problem was report that I saw from someone using iOS13 and having a problem that may also happen with iOS 12 -- it had to do with their using projects created at 44.1 kHz on hardware running at 48 kHz.
Have you seen other reports about iOS 13 issues?
Yep sample rate stuff, i dont own the app so dont know specifics, you could be right and its not ios version specific

Hi @espiegel123
I just upgraded my iPad Pro 9.7 (1st gen) to IOS 13.3 and although I haven’t tested it thoroughly yet, Auria Pro seems to be working fine. I loaded several relatively big projects of my recent album and they run perfectly, with lots of internal and external AUv3 plugins.
I haven’t checked the mentioned sample rate thing yet since all my projects run at 44.1KHz, same as my iPad.
@Rodolfo : thanks for the report. That's good to know. How does the battery life seem?
As I mentioned in the other thread, I am pretty sure that the issue that person was having wasn't related to iOS 13 -- there was someone some time ago that reported having a problem running 44.1 kHz project on hardware running at 48 kHz. That person was running iOS 12.
I upgraded to iOS 13 a few days ago and Auria Pro appears to be working fine, but I haven’t had a chance to really stress test it yet.
Great to hear Auria seems to be good with iOS 13, can anyone running it on an Air 2 comment on speed etc.? Thanks
One of my main development iPads is an Air 2 running on 13.3... No problems and speedwise no difference with 12.x
Excellent, thanks for that. I guess I won’t get a much more informed opinion than yours!
Battery life is good as well,no complaints.
So is this current 13.3 better than 13.2.2? My 2nd gen 12.9 Pro is on 13.2.2 and seems to work ok .. but it keeps nagging me to update to 13.3. Did 13.3 introduce any issues that were not an issue on 13.2.2?
If you’re on 13.2.2 then I can’t think of a single rational reason not to update to the latest version.
Well you know how it is over at MacRumors .. 13.3 is the worst 13 so far .. 13.3 is the best 13 so far .. 13.3 is draining by battery too fast .. 13.3 improved my battery lol. So I thought I’d check with a community using the iPads in a similar capacity with similar apps as I. By the way Bram thanks for your apps man .. enjoy them 👍
Chris
Ah ok- I’d been holding off due to reports of battery/performance issues, but I’d like to grab the Procreate update, so I might take the plunge.
I'd love to hear some non-rational reasons!
Just when i thought it's all good now...f*ckin Safari wiped all my tabs again.hilarious.Not.
Yeah .. ehh .. ok .. think I’ll stay on 13.2.2, sorry to hear that Crabman .. hopefully your music making apps all work ok.
Don't worry, this issue happened to me on all ios13 versions and is not exclusive to 13.3.
The music stuff seems to work good although i did not stresstest everything.
I get this too sometimes. I found if you close safari and then reopen, they all pop back up
