Apple not sending invoices to email
Maybe you guys can help me figure this out?
At the end of October Apple stopped sending me the usual 'invoice from Apple' email to my email account. The last app I have an invoice for was purchased on Oct 27, and then from the next app purchase, on Oct 31, I've got no invoices for any apps that I've purchased from then on.
Two things are strange with this (well three counting the no invoice issue):
I still get the invoices for the apps that my wife guys under the family plan. I get them as the owner of the family account, and she gets a copy as the user.
still receive purchase confirmations (not the invoices) for the in-app purchases made during this time. (The "You ... acknowledged that if you download or use this in-App Purchase within fourteen days of buying it, you will no longer be eligible to cancel this purchase.")
I checked all the usual places and this email is the only registered with Apple apart from the secondary email for security (checked that inbox as well, no invoices).
Initially, I didn't pay much attention as I was thinking it will get sorted eventually. But now with all the BF purchases I really do need the invoices :-).
Does anyone have a similar experience or advice on what to do?
Also, do you know if I can request the invoices in some other way?
Thanks a bunch

Is it a gmail account by any chance? I know that if you receive e-mails on gmail and you don't actually open them (i.e "read them", as opposed to just filtering them to a specific folder or "leave them"), Google sometimes gets the idea that you consider it spam, and starts marking them as such. In that case it can possibly be found in the spam folder. If you use gmail it is quite good to keep an eye on the spam folder anyways now and then.
I got so fed up with Gmail making its own decisions on what I should see or not, apart from being a Google service of course (that also indexes everything I send/receive) that I moved all my e-mail accounts elsewhere.
If it is not Gmail it could be something similar happening with another host I guess. I doubt Apple fails to actually send them (though nothing is impossible I guess), I would guess at that it is you who fail to receive them, so I would start my debugging in that end.
@bato Same here - I have my own domain email address so don’t think it’s just a gmail thing. Not sure how you can request an invoice. I use PayPal for all my purchases so can refer back to them for tax purposes if needed.
Thanks for responding. It is a Gmail account but they are not in the spam folder :-(.
(OT, I agree with your feelings on Gmail and I just try to turn off every automatic feature...)
Same problem here...
Not a GMail account, it's an Apple account and the mails do not end up in the spam folder.
Aha, so this may be a wider issue. When did you stop receiving the invoices?
Yes, I tried collecting them for tax reasons but I pay directly from debit card. Not sure if my accountant will accept the bank receipts
When did you stop receiving the invoices? I'd like to track down if this is connected to a wider issue that started at a specific time.
Just did a quick search - this may help - looks like we gotta do the work ourselves!

Mine stopped coming through a couple of months ago probably but I thought it was just a blip.
OK, so it is a wider issue. Here is a report: https://9to5mac.com/2019/12/09/app-store-itunes-email-receipts/
Good thing is, there is a workaround for tax purposes, quoted from the article above:
You can request that Apple “resend” the receipt via the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
you beat me to it :-). but thank you...
Yeah I haven’t been getting them lately either. You can always look at them from the App Store by going to your Apple ID and and going to Purchases there
October 25...
Yeah, we figured out it's a wider and still unresolved issue. Pasting here from above:

You can request that Apple “resend” the receipt via the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.
Scroll to Purchase History and tap it.
Find the item, then tap Total Billed.
To send yourself a new email receipt, tap Resend. You can’t send a receipt for a free item.
Same here, no invoices after purchases and no monthly invoices of iCloud.
my invoices don’t show up in email for single app purchases. it waits till i have purchased at least 2 or more apps and the. sends an invoice for all of them on one invoice. it been doing that for years. very odd
And of course to repeat the obvious and general advice about phishing scams... I keep getting emails from senders claiming to be “Apple” about some fictional app store purchases that they are “concerned about” so please contact them thru this phony BS link so they can help me (lose all the money from my credit card 🤬). They got the logo and everything, some of them look almost convincing... it’s so easy to click on things without thinking. I would think a quick password change would perhaps stop any damage.
Same here, occasionally it would take a few days to get the email but haven't received anything for the past few months. Was mildly curious about what was going on at apple.
iCloud monthly fee is the only invoice that still shows up in the inbox.
I keep getting emails from “Apple” about my account ID being locked. Gotten a few recently, looks very official - hope nobody falls for stuff like this. Oh yeah, no receipts for recent purchases.
Odd, my iCloud invoices stopped too. Last I got was October, nothing in November and December. Had to manually re-send them through Apple ID (as described above).
Me, too. All my invoice emails have stopped as of 28/10/19 - both subscriptions invoices and purchase ones.
I’m in Europe, maybe that policy is different. The prices most definitely are!!
I’m in Europe too.
