Exporting midi loops Cubasis 2?
Hey all. I’ve just got myself a new iPad and am making a long overdue return to iOS music. I’ve updated all my old apps to the latest versions and I’m loving all the new stuff that was not available back in the good old days of the 1st iPad mini and when iOS versions were single digits. Things have certainly came a long way since I last had a noodle.
Anyway the point of my post is that I’m trying to simplify things and want to settle on 1 daw and Cubasis seems to be best suited for my overall needs but I can’t seem to find a way to export part of a midi loop.
It’s not really a major thing but I would like to be able to export separate small midi loops for my verses/bridges/choruses for each instrument. Looks like the only export midi option exports all tracks as full midi tracks. Is it possible to split tracks and export the splits as several files

Comments
Yes, Solo the track, set the locators and use Bounce Between Locators while exporting.
Rinse-n-repeat...
It doesn't let you select "Bounce Between Locators" while exporting MIDI though.
Hi don’t think you can export separate small midi loops in Cubasis. Nano studio 2 has this ability and the midi editor is excellent imo.
Xequence 2 has excellent midi export options. It’s not a DAW, so you need to hook it up to hosts and apps to get sound, but it does everything that it does extremely well.

As @wim said you don’t get the options for export with midi as you do with audio.
Couldn’t agree more about NS2. If this had audio tracks then it would 100% be my app of choice. I’ll probably be exporting to this from Cubasis as a workaround until I find a better way. It’s just be much efficient to have it all in one app
This looks interesting and worthy of further investigation
Cheers guys
It could be a glitch. I don’t see why it should be disabled (MIDI is just data).
You could log a ticket with Steinberg as for this issue to enable the Bounce Between Locators option for MIDI export.
For now, you may be able to resize the project length to the desired event and solo the track. Just duplicate the project or track, delete all events but keep only the event required in the export. If necessary, delete all tracks except the required one with the event, export, undo, repeat...
I had a look at some videos of xequence 2 and bought it today and have already decided that I’m using that alongside AUM for everything I ever do in the future 😂
Thanks for the info though guys
