Comments

  • 20 bpm - my favourite tempo (if only AUM could go slower, though...)

  • Yeah i ask loads of time for lower BPM in AUM

  • I was also hoping to go lower than 20bpm, 1 would have been epic for almost infinite reverb tails

  • Good idea to start 2020 off slow 😁
    Fun video, thanks @thesoundtestroom!

  • @rs2000 Thanks, I think we will see some excellent new Apps in 2020 and hopefully some cool new updates too, maybe some of our old favourites will get the AUv3 magic dust sprinkled upon them 😊😉

  • @j_liljedahl any chance of 1bpm or lower on AUM please?

If AUM allowed us to set the BPM to single digits, would it break apps?
I spent a bit of time reading about MIDI Clocking and BPM and I still don't have a clue
    what might happen.

I did learn that the current BPM setting results into the transmission of 24 clock tics per
    BPM value.

Maybe a developer will weigh in with implementation knowledge... can we keep slowing down past 20 BPM's. Does any App I already own allow this and perform as I'd expect?

I know using BPM=20 in Gadget allows me to fake a real-time DAW's behavior for all those
    great sounding Gadgets.

I'm going to try some EDM tracks at 20 BPM and see if dancing to it improves my flow of Chi.
I will still look incredibly foolish and without grace. But Chi?

Yeah i think dev said there were limits maybe to Ableton link, or quantum syncing ... something like that, personally I wouldn't mind if some syncing breaks down at minus 1 BPM 👍

Actually I asked about this function when spacecraft granular came out, I instantly knew that app would sound incredible at 0.001 BPM.

This sounds like the opportunity to request a Mosaic app the buffer up MIDI events and stream them out at some reduced rate. I'm going to ask on that other thread.
