Screen Recording Audio
So it seems very easy to now record the video onscreen of an ipad or iphone. Is there any trick to extracting the audio simply?

Sorry not sure but while we are here...do you know how to size it so it fits for posting on this forum?
Pics I can do, videos are a no go.
-thx
Use the shortcuts app.
Quick tut of screen recording from YouTube, copying audio to the clipboard, then to audioshare to edit it. I send it to gadget to play with, but once it's on the clipboard you can send it almost anywhere really.
If you have LumaFusion, you can export the video as audio only.
If not, upload it to YouTube and use a YT downloader site to download as MP3 -

Upload to YouTube and share your video (no worries about sizing)
Just use the Shortcuts app. Here’s a shortcut to convert video to MP3. Access from the share sheet

Also here is a shortcut that lets you pick a movie and trim it and then turns a audio file in aiff form

@matte very interesting thanks! Could you please detail your shortcut?
This is what I love about this forum - I always discover new ways of doing things. Thanks for the information!
@matte Thank you very much!
So inspiring! But @matte is that...QuickTime you’re using??
Free app .. EXPORTAUDIO ... https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/export-audio/id1260980663
Its just the icon used in shortcuts.
When you hit the plus button at the bottom, use the search field at the top to search for 'media', you'll see there's 2 actions, trim media and encode media, both use the quicktime icon. The actions work with any media file (or in this case, the mp4 that the screen recorder generates)
excellent! thank you!
You can load up videos in AudioStretch and export as a wav file as well.
+1
@ExAsperis99 - Depending on your next step, loading it directly into EG Pulse could work for you.. that way, no extra steps involved.
-Import of Wave, AIFF, M4a, MP3 audio files or MOV and MP4 video screen recording (audio will be extracted)
Wow, I had no idea how easy that was.
Haven't tried it yet, but I will. If I can incorporate @royor's suggestion of loading it directly to EG Pulse or Audioshare? My goodness.
Now I won't have to puzzle over B—T— again.
If you have AudioShare, you can save the audio out of a video directly in Audioshare.
Gracias @matte
For screen recording on devices with one speaker (like my iPhone 6S), remember to connect headphones so that the audio will be recorded in stereo.
is this app only for recording audio from video you already have in your video folder on your phone or can you direct this to work with other video sources online?
In the past (pre iOS13?) I could open the audio of screen recordings (and YT vids downloaded in iCab browser) directly in AudioShare as mp4. From where I’d trim and convert it.
Unfortunately this no longer works... I get a silent file.
I use AudioStretch, but that Shortcuts method is very cool.
