Sequencer with finely adjustable note lengths?
... currently using Modstep to sequence a Xoxbox - in order to get the slides correct it’s necessary to very finely adjust the note lengths and I’m struggling with this in Modstep. There’s not really great accuracy and so am beginning to look elsewhere. So, can anybody recommend a (fine) sequencer?
Incidentally, this is a bit of a shame as find the rest of Modstep pretty useful - midi io, clip launch etc. are very good. Am able to compose an acid riff in Troublemaker with variations, record the midi and then get the Xoxbox to play it back but with the note lengths being a problem.
Most grateful for any suggestions, cheers!

Cykle or StepBud can do variable lengths per step but quite different from modstep.
Xequence has full control over note lengths down to 98304th notes if you turn off the grid. Should be enough 🙂 It doesn't do any kind of clip launching though.
Would be interesting to see how the xoxbox works with the new Pure Acid update as it has midi out from the sequencer , in standalone/IAA
Yep maybe dendy could try with his 303? @dendy
Good grief, has PA got midi out already? Checking out has it goes ASAP!
Cykle, StepBud, Xequence to check then.
Preferably one where note lengths can be input numerically- seems rather counterintuitive on an iPad but sliders just don’t cut it here
NanoStudio 2 allows you to change note lengths in fine increments while still seeing the grid.
It will also display the note length numerically (absolute length and relative change) while you're editing. Together with Gadget, it's my favorite editor.
Cheers for replies so far.
Running the xoxbox off the Pure Acid sequencer at the moment and from what I can tell, the developer has absolutely nailed it. Incredible!!
are you using pure acid to control the Xoxbox sequencer? Pure acid has no midi out? or it is only the Sync Clock?
The standalone has midi out as of the latest update.
Using PA to sequence the Xoxbox and it NAILS it! Slides, accents, patterns and variations... the lot. Incredible! Been on it for 2 hrs straight!
Thanks I was not aware of it
Nice one
Super. 😁
