KQMiniSynth Stuttering

I just got KQ MiniSynth app last night and dig it. Sadly I notice constant stuttering manually manipulating parameters. Especially any gain parameters. Is that to be expected?

Happens both on my iPad Pro (2nd gen) and iPhone 6s+. Running stand-alone or auv3, minimal settings (44.1khz, 1024 buffer, 1 note polyphony).

I was hoping to create a drone synth and manipulate gain via CC, but I can't find a way around the popping.

Comments

  • I’m using today’s update, and can hear no popping. 2nd gen iPad Pro 12.9.

Thank you for buying the app.

I cannot reproduce the issue on my devices (iPhone 5s, iPad mini 3, iPhone XS, iPad mini 5).

How many it spends cpu load? (If you could see it in AUv3 host apps)
    Have you connected external devices?
Does it occur at my other app e.g. MIDI Recorder?

If it is happening on two or more devices, I think it's less effective, could you try the following?

    • Disconnect external devices and restart iPhone/iPad.
    • Uninstall and re-install the app.

I'm sorry that I had a misunderstanding. It's CC problem.
It may occurs because CC control is applied too immediately.

I'm sorry that I had a misunderstanding, again.
It exactly occurs. I forgot LPFs at gain parameters.

    Edited:
I don't know it exactly occurs.

  • Thanks for the quick reply! I'm glad to hear its a bug, not just the way the synth works :)

I noticed the noise on a other parameters, for example chorus frequency. Let me know if you need any more info/investigation.

  • I read your information carefully again.
    Is it constant stuttering?
I confirm that a small one-shot noise occurs when changing gain parameter.
But I think it is not constant.

  • And I want to know how you tweak parameters.
By dragging knobs or MIDI CC?

  • Additionally, here is not my support page.

  • It happens when changing, not constantly. I'll shoot you an email!
