And this isn’t directed at any specific developer, but I like just being hit with something like this instead of being teased for weeks or months. I feel like the impact is much greater to be able to put your own hands on it at once. Take a look at the Moog Model 15 and Model D apps...completely outta nowhere. Pure unexpected joy.

I can cope with a short tease followed by delivery, it’s when there’s a tease, and another, and six months later, after lots more teases it still hasn’t materialised, that I lose interest.

But yeah, the out of the blue ones are the best.

    Dramboozled?

Not tonight, I had far too much last night.

  • About an app release style, I kinda like having both kinds... the sudden and slow. The slow offers a chance for drama, hopes, fears, and even a little butt hurt, lol. It’s like a soap opera for synth fans. Like sand through a lowpass filter, so goes The Drambos of Our Lives 🤓

On topic, Continua sounds great! Might have to get a fancy MPE controller, so i can play Continua with a Continuum. And @RedSkyLullaby delivers some sweet presets again.

  • Stupid question: With these oscillators, wave shaping and FM, can it sound like Shockwave?

  • AD's weak spot has often been a lack of presets but this has plenty to get going on and there are loads of really rich sounds in there. That long reverb sounds really lush. Since we're in similar sonic territory to Lagrange, it only shows what a difference it would have made having decent effects and modulation sections in Lagrange, as much as I love it.

Wish AD would have preset < > arrows to browse more easily. Also, the current preset is not highlighted when you reopen the browser, meaning you have to remember where it came from in order to surf the presets in order. Quanta has the same irritating browser features unfortunately which make it a little harder to use.

But Continua has a strong signature sound and the morphing of just about anything opens up a world of possibilities.

That is the Google of the day.

  • it is mad good! and the interface is oh so clean and good and intuitive.
you can go from very clean to insanely deep modulations and dirt:)
    playing with desktop version now.

  • Booooom! Thanks @White I'm going there

  • Great. In download 🖐

  • I really like the synth. Sounds really good. If I would compare it with another synth I would go for Factory sound-wise. It is really good and I am an appoholic and a sucker for synths and AD don't cease to play the right keys. Check it first with The Sound Test Room since I am not the wisest guy when we talk about iPad apps having bought 75 synths (some of those were free or an offer of some kind)

wish they fix the bugs in their others apps, good chance there will be bugs in this new app.

    +1 big time...

It’s funny to read all Chris’ blog post and twitter posts ranting about unreasonable customers though...

  • Reviews are so unfair on iOS

He should try web design for a living, then he’d realise what unreasonable customers really are.

    Haha!

Although on the other side of the coin I must tell my favorite light bulb joke:

    Q. How many art directors does it take to screw in a light bulb?
    A. Does it have to be a light bulb?
