An audio-based, live scale detector
Hey all,
Is there an app that will analyze audio live on playback, and show a live update stream of predicted key(s) and scale(s) currently being played?
You could use something like midi-spy if this were midi, but I'm curious if there's a similar sort of tool for audio.

Yamaha offers a free IOS app called "Chord Tracker - US" that can interpret audio and display chord changes. No way to us it except as a standalone that displays chords in real time I think.
you could use Web apps like chordify , also Chord tracker is an amazing app
Hmm interesting. Could you tell me more?
on a Facebook group I also see that Chameleon and synthscaper are supposedly able to do this. I have both, but I am not sure how I would access this feature
There’s a new app that does live audio Chord detection, with built in midi recorder. I haven’t Purchased the app but it seems interesting.

I use Chord AI which came out in August 2019 and has had many updates, including the addition of key display a week ago. Compared to the new Chord Detector mentioned above, it seems to have a more sophisticated UI, can analyse music files as well as live audio, and is free ($8.99 unlocks complex chords). Its chord analysis seems to be at least as good as the various other apps I've tried.

Thank you, @night_fly and @Poppadocrock I will take a look at both!
