Modstep copy clips / merge patterns?
Sorry, have trawled through past posts but no answer to this tricky problem.
Say I have imported a drum fill midi pattern via AudioShare into Modstep - it creates a new track. Now, I want to make the fill the 4th clip after 3 bars of bog standard four-on-the-floor ...
I can’t seem to copy the fill into a pattern, inserting it - it just copies everything over the pattern it is copied to, erasing the base track.
Thus - Questions -
1) Is there a way to copy/paste/insert a clip (here, the drum fill) into a pattern that already exists on another track?
Otherwise can only think to start with the fill and work backwards inserting the kick etc, which would take a while. The fills are complicated so trying to recreate in an already existing pattern is a no-no.
2) When importing midi from AudioShare, the new clip is in Melody - but want it to be in Drum! Is there a way to simply swap over from Melody into Drum whilst retaining the notes?

Oh... Question 3 - Trying to sync up Modstep and Pure Acid - Modstep is sequencing a Roland TR8S, Pure Acid a Xoxbox ... (sometimes) in Audiobus they sync and start at the same time, most of the time they don’t. Have been through the sync options on all 3 apps several times but can’t seem to find a correct combination so basically looking for a universal transport control. Any ideas?
