A lil’ tutorial video (and jam) on using hardware midi controllers with ipad
I’ve been working on setting this thing up as part of #jamuary2020, and during a shake down I figured I’d record it in case there’s anything in there that could be useful to other people trying out similar stuff...
Here’s a link to just the “jam”... it’s also at the end of the video after the camera crapped out... 🤪
Questions, etc, let me know...

Nice. Pure Acid with knobs is deeply satisfying. I have a vestax vcm-600 I use with Live and bitwig on my desktop and it’s always been an inspirational controller. Picked it up for a bargain on eBay. I hadn’t considered unleashing it on my iPad, but I can see it does a good job of minimising the iPad and bringing control to the fore
Lucky guy to have one. I was thinking of getting an extra and last I looked on Reverb someone was selling one for a grand!
It great with the iPad! What’s amazing is it will power itself off usb just from iPad!!! 😳
I have a Novation Remote Zero that I found in the trash a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been wanting to set it up in a similar fashion. Some good ideas here that I’ll have to try out. Thanks!
