How do you import SFZ files into AudioLayer?

How do you import SFZ files into AudioLayer?

So far I have only been able to figure out how to import individual samples, is there a way to import entire SFZ files?

    No.
Either EXS24 programs with samples or just samples, preferably named like suggested in the AL import dialog so they can be auto-mapped to key zones and velocity layers.

  • You have to import the audio recordings hidden in the SFZ manually and it's a royal pain.
But there are folks that have done it.

ESX24 instruments import automatically (with mixed results).

Someone with a Mac/PC can convert some instruments in SFZ'es to other formats.

What are your favorite SFZ'es and are there just a couple instruments you want or do you want the whole enchilada to pick from? The best SFZ playing tool on my iPad is in Auria Pro.
Works really well. I'm praying they re-package that sampler as a product. It disk streams a free 6GB pianos for example. And provides the Salamander piano as a default. All the big free Orchestral SF2, SFZ packages work well in it.

Audio Evolution Mobile Studio also imports SF2's but not SFZ'es I think.

I know you have asked about ZenBeats imports. How does it do for your SFZ needs?

People are starting to make and share some quality instruments for NS2 (yet another DAW) but good for lots of instrument based tracks without crashing or requiring audio freezes.
It does not record audio (yet). But 20-30 tracks of NS2 instruments are possible.

Music comes from a million small decisions supported by billions of big decisions made by developers.

  • Supposedly you can do this now.

I follow their instructions and get nothing. Anyone had success?

  • Thanks for the video! It worked fine for me!
