    Anybody tested this?

This is an amazing reverb. Don’t wait.

  • I'd get Pro-R in the FF Bundle sale if you haven't already. It's high quality and versatile.

For ambience FX of the reverb/echo ilk, I'd also check out Igor V's new Classic FX. Algorithmic reverb was added in v2.

Yes, how did it take so long for this one to be mentioned. Its currently my favourite ambient reverb. Not as versatile as blackhole, but it's really beautiful and easy to dial in.

  • This and black hole are good friends in the fx-chain. They love to be near eachother

No mention of 4pockets Visual Reverb? Surprising IMO. I use it and TB. Both excellent. If you are on Cubasis, RoomWorks is a free upgrade.

Roomworks is pretty decent. My go-to though is Virsyn AudioReverb which I’d recommend. I also like the reverb in Turnado.

I am using Cubasis, but I need something for AUM/AB3.

  • Coincidentally I just picked up the Toneboosters reverb. Already have Blackhole, Alteza, EOS2, but in that order they all have such a strong signature (great as they are) I just wanted something a bit more general purpose that can do 'just a bit' in particular ways. Though I imagine Pro-R might be a better choice for mix engineers working with a wide range of material, for my needs I couldn't be happier with the Toneboosters offering.

  • For general purpose I use Blamsoft’s reverb, which is free.
EOS by AudioDamage kind of loses the original sound, gets too floofy (?) in my ears.

Blackhole is what I use all the time.
And FAC Alteza , if that’s a reverb

    • blackhole eventide
      • Fac Alteza
    • Fabfilter r
    • stratosphere
    • bleass reverb
    • bleass shimmer
  • I actually really like klevgrand as a general purpose reverb, though it seems to be somewhat polarising. Some people hate it.

If I remember right it has some serious footprint on DSP... thats way its not that popular. But its really cool one. Before Blackhole and Atmospehre and TB it was my goto

  • I think some ppl also found it metallic. But yes, actually a lot of those klevgrand apps are damn heavy on the cpu.

Just for yi why I totally dig Blackhole and Atmosphere as a guitarplayer... I can set them to 100% wet and get rid of all dry signal. With this technique you can get rid of attack from plucking the strings and get some wonderful nice drones and soundscapes

I may change my youtube someday since I cannot access it anymore (lost my password and got a fake email back then haha)

It isn’t obvious to me that Pro-R is more versatile or better-sounding than the TB Reverb. I have them both. I find both to sound excellent, and would give TB the edge in versatility...as TB has shimmer settings.

Yeah, my views on Pro-R might of been, ahem, formed after a few videos and forum watching so no expert opinion.. The unique thing with it seems to be the ability to smoothly change core parameters like density and decay time without scrolling through a wonder world of digital artifacts. Also looks like there's a few more bands of eq/decay time to play with. I'm not sure what the brightness setting, clean to chorus, equates to. None of that is particularly important to me and yeah, TB goes more in depth on the synthetic fx side, so I'd say a better fit for electronic genres. I got rather blown away by FabFilters Saturn 2 so I started looking into their other stuff but honestly I think TB quality is as good as any of the more expensive stuff.

  • Definitely debating between TB REVERB AND FF REVERB rn, thinking of getting the FF bundle... I have TB EQ AND TB Barricade. Love both. However FF are amazing, I’ve used them many times before on desktop and the bundle being cheaper than usual, I’ll probably make the move to FF

  • My standard reverb for recording would be Fab Filter Pro-R. All others mentioned don't sound so "organic" to my ears, but Pro-R has too large of a footprint to use in live AUM performances.

  • TB Reverb is also great, that's the one I use for AUM sessions. : )

  • Since I made it, I'm a bit biased ;) but I truly do like my own AU3FX:Space. Demo videos and more info here: http://kymatica.com/apps/au3fx_space

How is the CPU @j_liljedahl ? Looking for a good solid workhorse reverb. Thnx

It's quite low on CPU. Lowest of the few reverb apps I have currently installed on my iPad Air at least.

I love reverbs and have them all... AU3FX:Space and AU3FX:Dub are my current FIRST choices
in AUM when I'm looking to add depth and resonance to my master track. The User Interface
uses sliders and I really love the Space "Swirl" to cut to the chase making the magic happen.
    I often use them both.

After watching @echoopera's video for his ambient flow I also throw some additional verb's on as well until there's a soothing wash of sound I can play over.

Get Space and Dub to show respect for the hours you've spent in AUM rent free.

No mention of Fab Filter Pro R?

Fab Filter Pro R or $40 - 1 FX model
MixBox CS for $40 - 70 FX models

I bought the Fab Filter Bundle but honestly I rarely use them because I keep chasing the new and my iPad Storage deletes the "least recently used" apps.

ToneBoosters has similar features for $9.
    AU3FX:Space is $5
EOS 2 $7 (with code input from the Valhallah guy... epic "freeze" feature)

Money is a huge factor in these decisions.
