Oh, I incited audio geekiness. Now I know that wave-table synths and romplers are not the same. That's news. Thank you for the explanations. (Maybe a mod could export these particular posts to a separate thread so it's searchable.)

  • @ThinAirX thanks my friend and more updates to come...

You can add links to posts of interest on the Audiobus forum wiki on the Forum Gold page:

    https://wiki.audiob.us/forum_gold

Or even add a page to the wiki yourself on gne subject.

  • One side note on Zeeon, of all the iOS synths I have, this is the one I go to whenever I have a sound in my head that I want to model from scratch. Start with the init patch (that’s what it’s for after all) and gradually work toward the thing in your head. For some reason I find Zeeon really excellent at this.

If anyone is new to modelling from scratch, there’s an app called Syntorial that teaches you how... https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/syntorial/id956861240

Synthmaster one is NOT stable or modern. If you go fullscreen in auv3 in aum, synthmaster one crashes literally every time.

NOT in v1.3.6 anymore. Update coming tomorrow, we have critical fixes. Regarding "not modern", what's your threshold for being "modern" ???

SynthMaster 1 got a preponderance of recommendations here. I bought it and worked with it for a while. But I ran in to too many little frustrations, I couldn't get comfortable with the interface, and the factory presets I browsed all sounded too busy (I know, factory presets are for show, and they need to be tweaked).

    Hi Steve,

Did you download the bonus presets? (650 presets) or purchased the "desktop presets upgrade" (1250 presets) ? We have a "world class" team of sound designers, to name a few are:

    Kevin Schroeder
    Kurt Ader
    BigTone
    Arksun
    Brian Transeau (BT)

and let me tell you that we insisted on growing our factory library instead of asking sound designers to create expansions for us... and this year we are starting expansions.

  • Fabfilter One
    Fabfilter Twin 2

Both come with Auria Pro and standalone desktop VST versions.
