Man, oh man, I'm loving SunVox. I added to the poll that @Carnbot linked. Here's one of my first jams using just SunVox.
So I bought it. Seems mental at the start but quickly getting used to it. The kicker module alone is great!
Mental is good!

Was there a way to import everything in my regular sunvox folder into the au version without having to do it one by one? I have a lot of samples and it would take quite a while one by one
Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to output the audio of multiple generators from a single loaded instance of SunVox?
Do you mean separately? If so, then no.
Thanks. And mixed together? Sorry for the n00b question
No need to apologize for asking questions.
Yes, it's possible to output everything mixed together. You just have to route each generator to the output, and the output will sound in whatever you have SunVox loaded in.
Now that SunVox is AUv3, you can run multiple instances, each with one generator, so in that way, it is actually possible to have individual generators outputting on individual channels in a host ... just not multiple outputs from a single instance. If that's confusing or you need more details, it'll help if you mention which host you're loading SunVox into.
Thanks ! Okay, so NanoStudio2 is the host app and what I am actually trying to achieve is to have the notes played on the NS2 keyboard (midi in) hit all the currently loaded generators in SunVox simultaneously.
OK, that's pretty easy if you only need one combined output. Just tap each generator in SunVox, then select the menu thing (the three stacked lines at the top right of the modules area), select Module Properties, then change MIDI IN from "when selected" to "always". (TIP: if you don't close the properties window you can just keep tapping on generators to update them. You can move the window out of the way to get to other generators if needed.)
Thank you! 🙏
👍🏼
I'm glad you asked. I never tried SunVox in NS2 before. It is really really nice to use in there.
Just a bit of extra feedback, It is possible to get the same result by placing a MultiSynth module and connecting the generators to it. Also, by putting the MultiSynth inside MetaModule, it is possible to trigger an arpeggio or sequence on note!
Apologies if this was covered before...
When I save a project Sunvox when it's loaded into AUM as and AUv3 mode, then later try to open the project in standalone Sunvox, the project does not appear in the SunVox's browser.
The reverse is also true - when I save a project in SunVox standalone, I cannot open the project in SunVox when it is loaded into AUM as an AUv3.
It seems like the project file is saved to a different location depending on whether you ran Sunvox standalone or as AU.
What solution have you guys worked out to pass project files back and forth between the two Sunvoxes?
I asked on the Sunvox forum and gave it a day before asking here.
You can use the System Import & System Export (They are the standard Document Picker) under the Export/Import menu in the AUv3. Then Import or Export to/from the SunVox folder under 'On My iPad' in the Files.app.
Same with Import if you need to fetch a file from SunVox in the AUv3 it's the same procedure...
Thanks! This looks a bit less involved than the WiFi server transfer option.
Also, as an aside, the export menu offers options for stem export going in either direction
S_NV_X IS AU
Worth repeating...
So sunvox is auv3 eh? I can repeat that epic greatness. Also remember: run it on your family's old blackberry and all old devices! Seriously it runs on everything. Even the apollo 17 computer can run sunvox with graphic limits. Yabba dabba doo auv3 sunvox.
This is System Export, not Wifi Export, right?
Yes, but when you run it as AUv3, it saves and loads files in a different location than when you run it standalone, per the earlier posts today.
So lets say I load it in AUM to record the MIDI from my AUM jamming and save it in a project.
Then later I open Sunvox as a standalone app to edit the MIDI. Well, I can't unless I follow the suggested extra steps to move the project file over.
Does the AU version support midi out in AUM? Can’t seem to get this working.
Midi is not supported in AU right now.
Looks like the next version is 50% done. Hoping we see midi out, FX support, and multi In/out added to AUv3.
I think we are all mature enough to just go ahead and write it.... Voldemort is an AUv3.
'Vol de mort' is french for "Flight of Death" which is my nickname for @flo26's YouTube Channel.
S_n_V_x should use capitalization carefully or Voldemort looses his wings.
@rezidue Is there a beta out?
SunVox rules already but soon it will rule even more.
Midi out AU, will keep me from buying Polyend Tracker. 🙏🤣
