if you dont like the other FAC apps chances are you wont like this either.
no matter what dials i adjust it all sounds the same wishywashy to me.
not everyone has to like the same companies.
i am going to stick with toneboosters for my part.
I'm going to give it more time... but my initial reaction is somewhat similar with this one. I feel like I'm missing something with all the praise. I do get more interesting variations from the Toneboosters reverb.
I haven't given up on this one for sure. I do generally like it's sound, but it's all kinda samey so far. Meaning, it kinda turns everything into a similar sounding wash of pad. I get a little variation from the dials, but not so much.
edit: I do like the sound overall, but I'm not so sure I didn't already have this covered with Toneboosters. Just first impression though.
OK whose first up to explain this
So all-pass filters modulate phase over frequency, I think, and that's a far as I've got. I'm wondering if I really need to know, but nerdish curiosity and all that.
i feel like i’m getting a pretty good variation of reverb sounds with this one, the dry / wet knobs are very useful when sculpting in a reverb with this one obviously but the pitch shifting , diffusion and adjusting the APF settings really give it some nice flavor.
FAC is alright. If I had to pick one it'd be TB. Most versatile reverb on the app store.
Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. We’re all different. There are many apps people think are the greatest thing ever that I look at and think “really?”. That’s the good part of having choices. There’s something for everyone.
I like it .. it’s BIG 💪
Not my experience. I'm less impressed than most by the other FAC apps (except maybe Chorus) but this... this is the biggest most bestest shimmer app although I love all of them. IMHO, of course.
This suggestion helped me hear much more in this plugin and see that some excellent sculpting variety can indeed be had. Thanks!
I love it...not only for the shimmer and reverb, but also for the capability to produce swell sounds...here‘s a quick jam:

Great track! Fabulous sound from FAC.
Thank you 😊
To MartinJ A most inspiring beautiful sounding track thanks for sharing that.
To Fred great sounding app I see myself getting a lot of mileage out of this one like all your apps. Thank you for this one also.
I always think of apps at this price of needing two or three sounds that I would actually use, then it’s justified it’s cost to me. Kinda like synth apps with thousands of sounds, that I end up regularly using ten sounds at most of
Live the sound and playing! This app’s sound is amazing!
OMG the init preset on any Audiokit’s Synth One Synth presets sounds amazing!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i’m loving that init preset lol it literally makes everything sound better
Yeah its unbelievable! Save it as a user in case it ever gets changed.
Sounds amazing on Arps fro SynthMaster One and any synth! What an amazing sounding app!
Yes it is. But very versatile too. Tried some stuff with "smaller" values, and with or without pitch shifting... great stuff, i.e. something like this on drums:

But beware of the feedback knob... nuclear annihilation ahead, always use a limiter...
Groovebox synths sound super crisp and luscious with Alteza.
aye!
One of my latest posts. An ambient piece using a minimal but super modulated patch in miRack running through Alteza.
@auxmux great stuff man. Supermodulated sounds really fun
I made also one on twitter. Its just guitar and his bandit as delay and Alteza as verb
try to think how much a hardware reverb of this quality could cost...
Cool vibes @auxmux and @david_2017 thanks for sharing.
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
489€ but... beside the shimmer algorithm the Big Sky (or other in that range: Empress Reverb, CBA Dark World, you name it) has 11 more types on board. That being said, I think Freds Shimmer is better than on my big sky. Its a steal!
Thanks @Faland and @david_2017, glad you liked it. Cool theme @david_2017
I've been using the 4Pockets one for guitar work for quite awhile - while it sounds decent, it has sometimes been glitchy for my - grabbing pieces of harmonics and sending them flying out of control - I think the Alteza verbs sound more natural and rounded.
However, the 4Pockets shimmer is more tweakable, if that's important to you.
