Clear isn't the same as deleted. Just making sure we're talking about the same thing here. When you tap on song slot 4, it comes up with a popup message asking if you want to add empty patterns?
Some fool had inserted some parts into song slots 30+!
Deleted and now it's looping. Thanks all :-)
Hi. I've just purchased Digistix 2 and used midi learn to map a bass, snare, etc to the keys on my Finger Drum pads. However, as soon as I load a different drum kit my mappings are lost. Is there a way to save my midi learned mappings and automatically apply them to each kit that I load? Thanks.
I'm not aware of any way to do that within DSX2. I've used it extensively and from what I understand, the MIDI mappings are stored with the drum kits, one bank being general MIDI and the other being DigiStix 2 mapping, and if you create your own, you can save both the mapping and the drum kit sounds, along with all of the related settings into the User bank. One way to achieve what you want would be to create copies of the drum kits with the custom mappings and save them in the User bank.
If f you don't want to do all that work or consume the extra space, you could use an application to remap the MIDI from your Finger Drum pads in the iPad before it reaches DSX2. There are a lot of ways to do that, and if you want to go down that road I suggest that you put that question out to the forum, but I can get you pointed in the right direction as a start. You could use a number of apps that will take an incoming MIDI note and remap it to another MIDI note, including mfxConvert, Streambyter, and KQ MIDI Modulate, and you would need to host both DSX2 and the MIDI effect in an app such as AUM, or Logic Pro.
