Yeah, this is awesome. Nice work @AmpifyxNovation
The problem is, every time they update this thing I end up downloading it again, and buying all the newest presets and banks. And then I delete the thing because I have other apps that overlap or overshadow this one Blah Blah Blah
But this latest update...
(Wheel of samsara. Meanwhile you’re welcome everybody, it’s my great good pleasure to fund yer damned updates)
Anyone have crashes? I have had 6 or 7 so far on iPad Pro 2016 13.2.3.
Never lose data, but annoying this is happening. Automation works great.
+1 ..it really is a thing of beauty: like a happy-robot recorder for Every parameter (that I've tried so far). So much
Hello!
Could you drop us an email at [email protected], so our support team can look into this?
Thanks,
Beth (Ampify)
Hi Beth, just sent a note, thanks.
I hear you, but I think this is the Rubicon crossed on this one. Are there lots of obvious bits and bobs still? PANNING?
Song/pattern chaining etc? Yes. But the fluidity of the automation is so silky and creative....
Having a bit of fun but I’m there, brother. This update is probably the one, next level Beatwave, getting animation in ahead of other bits makes me feel like they get me.
And I like the 20 125 packs. (I know, I know. Knowing one has a problem etc.)
Now to make it sound like me.
automation feature is very nice! here's a little play I had last night - nothing fancy, just automating some filter cutoff on a few synths
Loving this thing... maybe more editing features in the piano-roll (FlStudio?), import MIDI files, save MIDI files.. wish Export to Maschine was possible.. So much time spent converting files from Ableton’s Export.. Maschine dances better than Ableton..
Thank Ampify.. beautiful.🙏
MMm, yah the piano is riper for features. Octave shift, halve/double note spacing/length etc. more etc.
Yep
The piano roll feature I’d like most are loop braces to set loop length so that loops aren’t limited to a multiple of a bar. Being able to automate a loop brace would amazing.
Had a couple of hours pushing the pretty pony along but FUCK ME can a Vicar get some panning here on the synths? Killing me. Yes I can take the patterns out into a DAW, but I can also kill the dog to save on milkbones, I just don't want to have to be that upset for sake of simple convenience.
I'm going to go and stand outside their shop with a big sign.
I would like to recall you could set individual volume for each note but that's not working all of a sudden. If you change one, all the others change as well. Maybe I'm mixing it(ha!) up with Reason Compact but not sure, so. Anyone know/remember. I'll report it as a bug and also throw in some kneeled begging for panning function
@JohnnyGoodyear while I'm at it.
Hi guys
Is there a way to load patterns into the synths and drum? I only know the random button to do that but not a way to choose the patterns that supposedly comes with the IAPs. Is it possible to save my owns and recall in future projects?
Is there any way to add audio into groovebox? Or any kind of connection with blocs wave? I am trying to use GB as a single solution to develop a song only leaving the mixing and mastering to be done outside.
Thanks folks
@AmpifyxNovation
Great question.
1. As of right now, Groovebox doesn’t allow audio import. That’s Blocs Wave. I did make an iOS shortcut to help send stuff from Groovebox to Blocs Wave - https://routinehub.co/shortcut/5046/
2. If you wanted to send patterns and sequences, as of right now you would need an external app like Audiobus or AUM.
Groovebox is my go to app for quick musical inspiration. Here’s how I started using it. The main idea is sending stems from Groovebox to Blocs Wave, then either exporting it to Launchpad or GarageBand.
I have a full time playlist dedicated to how I use this workflow
Hope this helps.
@seonnthaproducer
Woww thanks 🙏🏽
Latest update says improved "voiceover" support. Anyone know what that means in this app?
If I'm not totally mistaken it's one of the assistive features for users who can not see...
...this way they can control the app using their voice, speech command etc.
Thanks @Samu
Doesn‘t get too much love or care by Ampify, doesn‘t it? Seems like the devs don‘t intend to add more features...
what a pity - somehow it‘s inspireing
but
still
limited.
I don’t think I would ever bother with it if it became more complex.
I like to have a quick jam with it because it’s so quick to load and simple to use. And I quite like the limitations as it means I spend time actually playing rather than looking for sounds or tweaking.
As soon as I run into the limitations it’s because I have a kernel of an idea that I want to expand upon. And at that point I can just export the stems and use them in NS2, GB or BW to add more parts and start arranging.
If it had more features I’d probably just bypass it entirely and use something like NS2 instead.
The only thing I’d like to see added is an option to bring different sections in quantised to bar rather than instantly.
I like all the Ampify apps. They are the only audio apps I can think of off the top of my head that I use regularly standalone to jam with.
i agree on being simple and appealing! Groovebox is close to perfect but not quite there...
