bluetooth earbuds for cubasis 3

i’m looking for some just some basic bluetooth headphones that i can use at work that are comparable with cubasis 3 my current earbuds Anker soundrise. they kind of work when i switch it to 16 bit in the app, but still the quality is not great. just curious what you guys are using

  • If your current ones have a microphone, it is possible this is whats causing the low quality audio in Cubasis...I noticed this happens, if after you have connected your buds, and opened your project, go to settings, and audio, and select 44Khz (or 48 if you prefer) I have noticed that when using earbuds that have a mic it sets the quality pretty low...somewhere arounf 8Khz I think.

To avoid this completely, get buds that do not have a microphone

interesting. i have often wondered if it is a mic related thing. now to find a set of earbuds without a inline mic built in could be tricky nowadays

Bluetooth latency sucks for making music.

I tried to put up with it for a while because of the convenience of wireless earbuds, but eventually went back to a wired set.

    Your mileage may vary.

  • AirPods Pro have truly excellent sound and as low latency as I’ve seen, they’re bit of a faff to get Cubasis to work with though.

You might be able to add Cubasis as an input in Audiobus and the BT earbuds as the output. This is the standard workaround for me when using apps that don't support Bluetooth, for instance for playback in my car.

As mentioned, BT audio is pretty hopeless for any kind of live playing, but for playback of sequenced stuff it can be somewhat workable when needed.
