A praise to Rob Jackson (touchscaper dev)
I don't know if Rob Jackson frequent this forum, but in case I wanted to thank him for the continuous updates (free of charge) to touchscaper and for having created this brilliant app.
And I would like to add, for his kindness, just read the notes of the last update...
If you like touchscaper don’t forget to leave a review on AppStore
Thanks Rob!

At one point his website had some great free samples/loops worth checking out. Edit: The samples are on the Moodscaper webpage which is one of his other apps.
Bought as a result of this thread. Leaving review now.
👍
wow this app looks great , i have all his other stuff but somehow missed this one that looks the most powerful!
so it looks like you program a sequence of chords in the circular thing... then you can add “touch” sequences in the 16 step linear sequencer that add movement to those notes? is that correct??
also that sequencer has bass / drums as well
Yep, plus 2 “ribbons” where you can play scales on, probability, song mode, etc. it’s a great piece of software! With Ableton link you can use it flawless in AUM. At the current price it’s a real steal. I love it!
i’m going to have to do it! app purchase 31 this month 🤣😎🤣😎 is the 7.99$ a sale price?
No, it’s the regular price. 🤓
Left a positive review!
Love all his apps.
Have them all except Moodscaper LE, but I have those samples loaded into the main Moodscaper.
Touchscaper has gotten so many new features that I find it a little confusing right now.
But the manual gets updated frequently, so I just need to take a minute to figure out the new features.
These apps are like magic black boxes. Left on their own, they create beautiful stuff. But it is totally possible to control these apps to get more personal sounding stuff from them. They are also great to feed into FX and go on an FX odyssey.
Touchscaper looks like it is turning into quite an ambitious project. Excited to see where it all leads, and am glad to go along on this journey.
I think I found him, so thanks @moodscaper for your hard work! Cheers
Thanks so much guys - only just heard about this lovely thread - big THANKS. I hear you on the "confusing" front - it's kinda evolved, it would be fair to say, possibly not in the most logical of ways.
I know some folk will be pleased (maybe even relieved?
) to hear I've been working on MIDI out this afternoon and it's going well so far. Given the current circumstances (ahem...) I thought it might be "fun" to document progress with YouTube videos. It also maybe gives interested parties a chance throw in ideas / comments as I go. Can't promise I can do exactly what you want, but if nothing else, it's an opportunity to nudge me in the right direction
And thanks for your patience - I know several folks on here have been waiting AGES for me to get round to a MIDI implementation. Stay safe and well and keep making music. -Rob
Your apps are truly brilliant, thank you so much for them ;-)
My number 1 wish (next to midi) has to be IAA multi outs for the different engines.
Again, thanks and stay super safe.
So true. gotta stop for a few hours and get to know it better. Or watch any tutorials
Rob is back in the game with a new app on the way. Great news!
Good. I enjoyed his MoodUnits app. Would be cool if he brought all of his apps to desktop, but I understand why more developers don't do this with the additional work it involves.
Thanks. That is great news.
I’ve been playing around with TouchScaper a ton lately. It’s one of those apps that I consistently come back to. You can have a lot of fun right out of the box, but I’m constantly wanting to dig into features I’m not familiar with.
What type of app?
I wish Touchscaper allowed for inversions. I did approach the dev about it, but he seemed 'unconvinced'.
You can get into the menus and specify the exact voicings. It might be possible to "fool" it into inversions. For example, if you want CMaj/E, tell the app you have an E root, but stack Cs and Gs on top.
Ah! Many thanks! Will have to look into it 👍🏻
