Let's see...my top 18 apps (actually 21 + 3 Gadget IAPs)
I agree with the concept that limitation and focus lets you (me anyway) be more creative. But find you are restricting just a bit to much. Including effects you could go to 30 apps.
Or, bear with me, you could just S_nV_x
+1
I love the combo of AUM, Audioshare, Enso and Koala (Plus a few synths + Samplers for sound sources) .. Enso makes it easy to make perfectly synced loops to import and layer up in Koala. Between those and Atom piano roll, it’s almost like a modular DAW. Only thing I’m missing is a good AUV3 automation recorder/editor.
Groovebox
Gadget + Korg synths
Grooverider-16
AudioShare
AUM
Koala
FAC, Sugar Bytes, Fabfilter and Eventide bundles.
Beepstreet Zeeon, Sunriser
Enso and Atom Piano roll
Every Bram Bos plugin
Virsyn Audiolayer
Synthmaster One
If I were to limit my app diet, that would cover most of the major food groups for me.
Yeah that’s a lot of my process when I’m creating samples. I actually just sample loops straight to audioshare with aum if I’m using atom and then koala is incredible for resampling and layering and I even use it for chopping samples lately. Using too much timeline based stuff cramps my creativity when it comes to best making for some reason, I prefer to work with loops so I’m loving the modular style of creating. If Drambo knocks it out of the park with hiphop though there will be a new contender

I was scrolling these pages in disbelief that no one had mentioned it, but yes, there it (kind of) is.
Kind of might be enough. 18 apps seems like a lot to get velocity layered samplers, synths, note and midi FX, follow actions, P locks, stem export etc. etc
Forgot to say: When you can get them all in one app
I haven't counted but I keep the lineup pretty streamilined as well. Delete it if I don't use it.
Fugue Machine you could lose...doesn't seem like u use it . Add Elastic Drums for something closer to your thing.
LaGrange .. sorta in the same boat. Think about one of the Korg/Arturia/Moog analog synths.. or and old standbye like Zeeon, Animoog, Volt or Synth One.
I don't have Enso, but I do have BlocsWave and L7 looper. Would I be able to achieve the same thing using them?
Any recommendations on mine? I have Beatmaker but I placed Nanostudio due to the fact that it works on iOS as well. (My goal is to be able to replicate my iPad sounds on a small iPhone SE), so a sampler is sometimes needed.
I love these taking stock threads. Would not want to be without:
NanoStudio 2
SunVox
AudioShare
AUM
AB3
Loopy HD
Patterning 2
Samplr
ChordPolyPad
Egoist
iWAVESTATION
iFretless Bass
iPulsaret
TB ReelBus
Model D
iSymphonic
Ruismaker Noir
Brusfri
And no doubt a few others...
I spend a fair bit of time outside of iOS with Reason, Logic, Octatrack and hardware synths, so I’m not trying to do everything in the iPad.
