OT: Nembrini Audio BST 100 for Mac/PC DEMO (Soldano SLO 100 emulation)

I made a brief track to demo the BST 100 (soon on iOS). I think it sounds very good. Let me know what's your opinion. Cheers

  • Thanks for making this... it sounds like something recorded using the old school hardware tools.

I love the way the Nembrini folks entered the IOS market by generating good will:
    Crunch - FREE
    4 FX'es - FREE
    9 of their FX'es for $4 each

    • The $4 TubeScreamer Clone is great. It does the SRV thing perfectly using 2 of them in series

Then a mono Saturator for $15 and the stereo Saturator for $20 and a bundle of both for $26.

HEADS-UP: Anyone that doesn't grab Crunck for free is missing out big time. Turn the GAIN down to 3% and you can an amazing clean (pre)amp tool. Every knob has incredible sensitivity to small changes like a great amp circuit. As good as any Amp tool on IOS, IMHO. But they started with Crunch because it generally crunches all inputs into a metal tone but NOT when the GAIN is close to zero. It's free... see if you don't keep it and use it.

  • @Faland Wow nice playing. What’s your effects chain here? Is this DI into BST100? Sounds awesome. Would you use this as an amp/ amp head substitute with an IR cab?

I recorded it in half an hour in Logic Pro. Not a great production, just a couple of EQs and a bit of compression. The BST 100 is really top notch. It’s has an analog grainy saturation, and a responsiveness to the touch that makes it feels very natural when you play guitar through it.
I have almost ANY amp software emulations on my Mac, as I use them since the first Amplitube, and this one really stands out among the three or four best of the bunch.

The Nembrini amps have all a STEREO imput so you can put a stereo effect before and after them in the chain and the output will maintain the correct stereo field. Cool.

Yep, the TS is awesome. Reminds me of my old TS9.

I don’t use it on this demo, but if you put the PSA 1000 Sat in front of the Soldano, then the sound acquires body and even more warmth. But now I wanted to test the BST100 on its own.

ATM it’s the best AU amp sim hands down. And it’s free. But now the BST 100 is coming...

    Thank you, much appreciated. 🙏

    The lead guitar chain is:
    Strat
    Focusrite red
Softube Summit Audio Grand Channel (eq+Comp)
    Nembrini Audio BST 100
    Audio Damage Dubstation 2
    Lexicon Vintage Plate
Softube Tape and FF Pro-L2 on the master.

The BST 100 is a complete amp with its own set of cabinets impulses which can be bypassed, so you can load any IR cab in the built-in impulse file loader. You can use it both as head or
    ampli.
    Thanks for listening.

  • @Faland Thanks for the answer. Definitely looking forward to this @NembriniAudio !!

  • Thanks @Faland for you track! the BST100 AUv3 will be ready in few weeks, keep in touch!
