Seeking help: iPad often plays stereo audio in mono
I'm having a problem with stereo playback on my iPad and wanted to post and see anybody else has experienced the issue:
Quite often, like half the time, when I connect my class compliant audio interface to my iPad, it will only play back mono audio. I usually start up in Loopy or AudioShare. I can sometimes fix it by playing a track on Apple Music or Spotify, which will "trigger" stereo playback, but not always. If not I just restart the iPad and that usually fixes it. For what it's worth, I'm using a 6th generation iPad, and I've noticed the problem on both iOS 12 and now iPadOS 13. My interface is an Allen & Heath ZED-10. When this happens, I can see that it's still able to record stereo input. It just plays back in mono.
I'd love to know if any of you have had this problem! Thanks for reading.

Is the Allen and Heath connected to your iPad
via a lightning to usb 3 adapter with the
lightning cable plugged in for power?
If so plug it in as normal then pull out the lightning
cable and reconnect it and see if that works.
Yes, I'm using the lightning to USB 3 camera adapter to connect the interface. The adapter is always connected to a 5V power source. I've tried reconnecting the lightning cables at both points (ipad to camera adapter and camera adapter to power) at various times without any consistently good results.
