Looking for a Multi Tap Delay with different routing options and modular feedback path (auv3)

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a Multitap Delay with different signal flow pathes (serial, parallel etc.) and a modular feedback loop (where some fx could be inserted like a chorus, comp, filter etc.).

I already have Modley by Klevgrand and though it is great and has most of the stuff I am looking for I am still missing some stuff like individual delay panning, negative feedback values etc.

I also have Ultratap and most of the usual delays, but none of them has an individual modular feedback loop path.

I have Kosmonaut and this comes more or less close to what I search but no additional fx like a chorus etc within the feedback path.

I took a look at Delayrium, but apparently it only comes in parallel mode and with no modular feedback path.

I was thinking about Virsyns Tap Delay but have not gathered enough infos about it (and no modular feedback path either).

I also took a look at 4pockets multitap, but I don’t get the hang with their guis but I am considering buying it.

Different signal flow pathes (at least serial and parallel) and AUV3 are mandatory, a modular feedback path would be great but is not a must.

Any recommendations? Or isn’t there anything like this available right now?

Cheers and thx in advance.

Edit: changed the thread title.

  • Have you tried building your modular feedback paths using AUM sends?

Yeah, I considered that already but have not started yet. I was hoping for a fx solution.

  • Tap delay is not worth much as a multitap delay itself but when you're using in a more complex AUM setup it starts to get more interesting. If you add rhythmic volume controls, filters and other FX to different mixer channels, the delay will sound much more musical.
As an all-in-one plugin, I like Effectrix quite a bit.

Thx for the input. Right now I guess I have to build my own signal chain within AUM. I already tried a few setups.

Btw I also own harmony eight which is a 8 tap delay but very limited in its own way.

  • sounds like you already have sufficient tools for near endless AUM permutations
