Slift - anyone heard of this band?

edited March 2020 in Other

Holy crap - where have I been? This band fell into my lap the other day, and I can't stop listening to their stuff:

Fantastic heavy rock - reminds me a ton of Wolfmother, who I also like a lot.

That’s great. Equal parts ridiculous and awe-inspiring. As all great rock and roll should be.

I don’t want to be the one responsible for sending you down this particular rabbit hole, but have you heard King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard?

Australian psych band that has put out, like, 14 albums in the last six years. Every new record it seems is a different genre. The latest is their death metal attempt. They did an album called “microtonal banana,” and every guitar was threaded to allow quarter–tones!

They did a KEXP gig too.
First track is a little demanding, but at 8:50 it gets glorious.

Ok - I'll give this a listen in a bit. Thanks for the heads up!
