Mute / solo channels in Ruismaker drum machines?

Am I missing something or is there no way to mute/solo individual channels in these? Thanks in advance.

Nope. You’re not wrong. But you should be able to mute the midi you’re sending that triggers them though. How are you triggering them?

You can also just use one instance for each sound, and mute those.

  • Well, actually, just now I was experimenting with using them in standalone mode, so using the inbuilt sequencer, and my mind was blown at the lack of something so obvious as mute and solo right there in the app itself. I don't understand how it doesn't have this functionality inbuilt, do you?

In the standalone you can mute the sequencer for each pad. Tap the BD, SD buttons at the right. When red, that pad is muted.

  • Ah, thanks a lot! Puzzle solved, didn't notice this mentioned in the manual, probably oversight on my part, thanks again

  • How about in the auv3 - can you mute the pads?

  • In AUM, it will work the same way. The difference is that you open ruismaker as an audio unit, and then you have to open a separate instance of rozeta rhythm (or you could use another sequencer) as a midi processor with which to control it. The BD, SD etc on the left of the sequencer can be pressed twice to mute / unmute. @gosnote
