Bleass Alpha sounds pack to add to
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m2y0rtdhlos7k8j/AACGETY7aUJOmsh-fLdIx4vxa?dl=0
Here are 25 Bleass Alpha sounds. If anyone wants to start putting a forum pack together, here is a start.
I designed these using ApeMatrix as a host, which has a velocity variable keyboard. These sounds were made to be played with variable velocity and hence, if played just at the maximum velocity, will not play at their best.
Always be aware of volumes and while I think I’ve kept them all out the danger zones, I take no responsibility for your speakers or ears.
Would be nice to see us make a pack up for this synth, but I understand if no one chooses to. Hope some of the sounds are handy - only just getting to grips with the app.
PS - the pack above now has more sounds that have been made available throughout the thread.

Great idea! I’ve got a number of reasonable presets done in Alpha so far that I would be happy to contribute for a Forum collaberation. I’m not sure how one goes about putting them all in one pack for export. So far I have only discovered what looks like individual patch export and not a whole bank. But I could be wrong and I haven’t explored the export options fully.
I’m just finalising a 50+ preset pack for IceGear’s Kronecker synth at the moment, so I probably won’t get back to Alpha until next week. But when I do, I’ll check into this thread again and see where things are at. 👍
@Fruitbat1919 I just tried a few. Nice sounds. My favorites so far are Moon Cheese and Zombie.
@bleassapp, when I open a preset through "Open in..." it imports the name of the title, as if it's importing the preset, but the sound doesn't change. Presets can still be imported through the "Import" function in the app itself. Any plans to allow users to create and import folders?
Yep that’s the only downside, unless I’ve missed it. It sorta means that once we have a pack done, we would all have to import the sounds individually. Compared to the memories of getting sounds into some hardware in the past though, I can live with it
Never sure what to name sounds - apart from ones like ‘Blake’s Game’, which are sounds I’ve tried to copy from the old tv show Blake’s Seven
It takes me significantly longer to name patches than actually creating them! 😅
Yep Alpha isn’t overly complex, so the sounds flow easy enough....but naming sounds makes my head hurt. I think I should go back to the days when I named my patches: Pad01, Pad02, Lead03 etc
Hi!
This is wonderful to see you all making Alpha presets!
Indeed the current presets management needs improving. It will be updated in an upcoming upgrade in the coming weeks or so. For the time being you can only export a preset one at a time but things are easier when you use the apple files manager
Actually most the sounds I’ve done so far are probably influenced highly by Blake’s Seven as I’ve been watching the show at the same time

Great thread. How about trying this little experiment. Here are some cool sounding names for Patches. Do you think you could reverse engineer the creation of them by starting with a name as a source of inspiration?
. Graphite Edges
. Singular Flow
. Echo Luxx
. Codex
. Mercurial Harmony
. Forever ever eve e...
. Lost + Found
. Dexterous Ghost
. No Fear
. Metaphysics Unlocked
I love the power words and symbols evoke. Would be interesting to see if the same triggers work for you two and others.
Can’t wait.
I love this idea and will begin making some patches tomorrow. I will put mine for download and will put ‘Bat’ in front of each one incase someone else does this with the same names.
wow man!! these are great! moon cheese !!!!!
Love this idea. Never tried it this way around before. Usually I start with an idea for how a patch will roughly sound and be structured, and then I listen to it afterwards to see what words or feelings it invokes for naming it, which then usually leads to a bit more tweaking!
Starting with a name already definitely focuses the mind onto a particular type of sound and structure right away!
Those are great patch names, btw! Already getting ideas off them!
I have three similar versions of Graphite Edge at the moment.

@Spidericemidas
Interesting to hear how different an approach we’ve both gone
sweet @Spidericemidas i’ll be looking forward to getting home to hear these and install the rest of @Fruitbat1919 sounds
That’s how Unknown Mortal Orchestra wrote his most recent album “Sex & Food”

Couple of basses. I’m never sure where to position basses on the keyboard range, so you may need to fiddle with them if you don’t like their positioning.
As with all other sounds I post, they are designed to be played at differing velocities. This is important as if you play them off the built in keyboard of the app, (I’m unaware if it has a mode to do this) and my sounds are often designed to be a tad harsh at the peak of velocity and be played just under that for much of the playing - basically so you can play them with a bit of anger if necessary. Maybe some have noticed my sounds are mostly darker and a tad dirty at times

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ttn5sg8oztmeakl/To be sequenced too.asprs?dl=0
Couple of sounds that were designed to be sequenced. Get the sequences right for the sounds or change the sounds to fit different sequences.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ha3qd2bgq4le45/Keep that transport running still.asprs?dl=0
Couple that benefit from the motion sequencer running and linked to transport controls. Also send some LFOs or envelopes to vary the fx settings as this helps and is not available in app.
By the way, the link at the beginning of this thread has all available sounds thus far
That’s great, thank you! Nice collection so far. I’ll try to get some more done in the week. You’ve done a lot of really good and interesting patches which show Alpha’s versatility. Hopefully more users will visit this thread and contribute some sounds. It’s refreshing and an education for me to have other people’s sounds to study and play with.
Yeah it is interesting. I definitely get into a certain way of using the tools at hand on a synth and am definitely only using a part of the synth tool set so far. Would love to see a few more modulation destinations though, especially to the built in fx.
Would love to see a few more people join in, we had some great variety in some other packs we've done and as you say, it’s just so interesting to see other people’s approaches - especially with a prior naming list - that was real fun. Same naming list, yet our takes on the sounds are very different.
I wonder if you design for a certain direction of sound to share? I design sounds purely for use in actual music being made and musical ideas. Your sounds seem to me to be more ‘upfront’ or ready to stand well as singular patches. If so, was this a choice you make for particular reasons? I ask, because you have done patches for people before and I understand that if I was to make patches to show off a synth, they would have to be aimed towards a different ideal than I currently do. Or am I just overthinking? The patches I’ve used from yours made for Continua seemed more designed to help blend music and less ‘in your face’ - could it even be your mood entering your sound design? I know at times I’ve made far less ‘dirty’ sounding patches, but all mine seem to lean that way of late
I suppose in some ways sound design is like making different mixes of a song to fit a specific purpose.
Maybe I’ve just had too much apple pie and cream and I’m having a sugar rush....
