    figured out how to capture the midi from ape into x2! woot pretty simple actually... this is great for iphone set ups cuz ape is simple to get around on the small screen and all the sequences running via x2 is very nice and compact

    it started as a minor inconvenience lol but was about to to have that ahhh haaa moment when it clicked right before my eyes lol

    not to many people looking at this setup huh 🤣 well might i add i’ve been all about aum for a long time but this really is a great alternative and change of pace.
    it find it quite easy to set up , route and work quickly , quicker in many ways to the aum workflow with a lot more things available in a smaller space, meaning rather than scrolling they page of aum you can fit a lot right in one page of ape.
    am i going to abandoned aum? no way but i am going to be opening ape matrix very frequently for jams with more instruments and effects , that need a lot of personlized modulation, and almost 100% of the time when working from my iphone.
    anyway def, if you have it, and gave up to quickly, try it again and see how simple it really is to go deep

    also i’m noticing waaaaay better battery life with ape and x2 vs aum and x2 , could be a fluke but aum killllllls my ipad battery and i’ve been sitting at 79% for like 15 minutes

    interesting observation.. i mostly use ApeMtrx but have been recently running aum into ape so i can have a number of very long wavs from audioshare playing into seperate channels without having to import and waste memory on doubling up files.. not noticed any big drain but i’ll keep an eye on the juice next session.
