New Community Announcement - MobileMusic.us

edited March 2020 in Other

You know, when @LinearLineman blesses something, good things happen! Thank you, LL

It's heartening to know so many people are curious and following up with reminder posts asking - "The weekend is over! Where is it??". LOL - the week ends on Saturday (today at 11:59:59 PM CST) - that is 13 more hours from now for the week to end. In programming terms, that's called over-delivery!

Okay guys, it's showtime... I'll keep this short

Do you wish to share your knowledge and wisdom in music through blogs, articles and more with instant gratification from text content with embedded images and videos?

MobileMusic community is just that - create your own personal Blogs, private Groups, write extensive Articles, share Photos and Videos... Let sky be the limit to your imagination.

Yes, since MobileMusic is generic, there are a dozen Forums for all platforms including Android, Windows (desktop & mobile), Other Platforms (Kindle, Chrome, Linux, Web), Hardware and not to mention - the undisputed iOS and macOS (to complete the circle). And there are forums for general discussions on Music production, off-topic Chit-Chat, Showcase to show off your creations, Introductions and Suggestions/Feedback. All these discussions happen in separate forums - isolated from one another.

How about Chat with other members - live? Chat One-on-One or Group-Chat - that is up to you. Make new friends, get to know each other, bond with others and keep in touch... I guess the Chat module is a BOMB !!

Check it out (before you comment here) - MobileMusic.us
The homepage is mostly a data dashboard as expected (no pie-charts for now).

Remember to read this important post to get the most out of it -
https://mobilemusic.us/forum/general/introductions/30-welcome-intro-help-rules

There is an extensive Help system to gain deep knowledge and figure out stuff by yourself. I encourage you to give it a read.

It's all free to you all - there is no charge

Within the limited amount of spare time I have available, it was an overwhelming amount of work to come up with a structure, set it up and bring it to this shape and call it a full-blown application - I almost broke my health  (no cats were harmed - Lulu is doing great). My TODO list is still long. I have a super-cool group address on Facebook.com/groups/MobileMusic that doesn't cost me anything if I want to use it but it is very basic with not many features, would not make any difference (it would just be another group except for the cool web address), not really searchable/usable with infinite scrolling (just post and forget) and Facebook is still a third-party site holding our data hostage for their marketing. I use that group just to repurpose my videos for traffic.

I had the software for 12 years, ran a forum with it in another category but was not passionate about it. I created this prototype 4 years ago but could not launch it for lack of time.

Hope you like it. See you there...

Cheers!

Shekar

PS: This is not a competition to Audiobus forum in any way but may be considered just as a generic extension for other platforms and with more modules - to keep ourselves busy. We will still be frequenting AB forum as usual. In fact, Michael freely allows his own app's competitors' threads like AUM, Ape Matrix, etc on this forum and also listed links to various other forums on the Wiki page. Kudos to him! I'll post a link to this forum on MobileMusic.us
