Sounds good. I am in the same position, work is closed for a month, so I'ma just make music. I still can't understand how you like NS2 over BM3, but I guess everyone has preferences. I just can't get comfortable and flowing in NS2, though I love Obsidian.
Also, I don't know if you have a computer, but www.musicvid.org is a free site to make music videos (visualizations or however you want) and it's really decent for a free site. Custom text, audio-reactive visuals, keyframe automation, and more. I made a test video a month ago and I made another one today.
i don’t know how you can really use either one , ns2 or bm3 that much 🤣 i can’t get along with either but i’ve had better result with bm3 for sample based beats, i feel like ns2 is just a few small steps away from being really great but as it stands i stick with zenbeats and aum
@reasOne it took me a week to get used to BeatMaker and navigate quickly. I tried ZenBeats but gave up quickly. My main tool for quick sketching is still GarageBand and AUM for experimenting.
Thanks 🙏
I guess it’s more of a workflow thing for me, and what gets me where I’m going quickest and reliably. I don’t want to flame BM3 at all. I think it’s wonderful and I feel like NS2 and BM3 could learn some things from each other and be better for it. Every time I use BM3 and get settled in, magic is what I get, so the BM3 power users are well deserved.
I do have computers but try and stay as far from them as possible 99.9% of the time and stay iOS only. Are there Any iOS suggestions paid or not that can achieve some of what u mentioned?
Also where can I check your art out at?
ZenBeats took a while for me, but man they’ve put a lot into that! Also their responsiveness is top notch. If u haven’t please check out some kits I’ve got for ZenBeats (some free) at www.ipadbeatmaking.com I’m loving the mixer section on ZenBeats (filter especially), the drum section, and I’m hoping they level up on SampleVerse. Also the Roli intergration (lightpad) is a pleasant surprise.
I have some ROLI stuff, so maybe I’ll try it in ZenBeats. Here is the video I made yesterday. I think it looks real good for a free tool.
Hey, also, @ipadbeatmaking I just remembered something. ZenBeats is available for ChomeOS. Have you tried it on a Chromebook? The hardware is real cheap, so it seems like it could be a good option. I havent heard of anyone trying it though. Thoughts?
