Those who bought CUBASIS:(again)

How is the Universal version treating you?

Is it easy to Xfer projects from iPhone to iPad and vice versa?

It is like Blocs for ease?

Can you airdrop the project files in a zipped folder?

I really will not be using any MIDI devices or interfaces with an iPhone so I don't need any aspect of the app on the phone except for loop loading or record audio and transfer. Does anyone use midi devices and interfaces with a phone anyway regularly?

Thank you.

NOTE:
PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME HOW HARD A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY WORKED ON IT IN--JUSTIFYING THE NEW APP PURCHASE. I AM LOOKING FOR THE FACTS ABOUT FUNCTIONALITY OF THE UNIVERSAL FEATURES OF THE APP - NOT FAKE SYMPATHY OR VIRUTE SIGNALS FOR FULLY EMPLOYED PEOPLE AND INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES. MUCH APPRECIATED.

You can airdrop projects from one device to another directly into Cubasis 3. The only thing you need to be careful of is AU's that you use, make sure you use ones that are on both devices.

It can be used for arranging loops, not as easy to use as blocs as it is really a timeline interface so optimised for that. Unless of course it is arranging audio loops onto a timeline that you are after as opposed to the section based approach in blocs.

Why not just buy it, ask for a refund via the Apple refund link here, https://idmsa.apple.com/IDMSWebAuth/signin?appIdKey=6f59402f11d3e2234be5b88bf1c96e1e453a875aec205272add55157582a9f61&path=/?s=6&language=GB-EN and keep it on your ipad or iphone until you know its worth it, you wont be able to update since your apple id is not linked to the app but until you erase it works.

Apple and developers don’t want you to know your legal right for a refund, they hide the site from people or try to bluff you on the phone but the law is the law and more rules will apply against cyber bullying customers etc

Airdrop works, muting none au single instance fx plugins works as should as well and this allows you to freeze a track-looped section and continue like multiple instances but the frozen audio bounced is garbage, out of sync and you have to beware that the 1st few seconds are silenced

Because if you do that, you cost the developer money. They have to refund you, and still give apple their appstore portion. Or it used to work that way in my app development days.

  • I used it for a bit on the phone. I would say it's laid out really intelligently, I wasn't fumbling around on it. Ultimately, there's AUs I miss that are iPad only so I'm back to using it there. I can't speak to project transfer never really had anything worth transferring from C2. I have used a keyboard and puc+ with the phone, it works fine but it kind of defeats the purpose of trying to do this on a phone lol...

I agree with Andy, it's not nearly as speedy as Blocs for just arranging loops. But it's pretty cool that you still get all the awesome time stretching and everything in the palm of your hand.

Cannot stress enough, on a phone, the UI is really good. Things just flip in and out of your way as your working, I was (am) pretty impressed.

I'd say if you're not primarily concerned with using it on your phone and you don't care too much about the newer features (groups etc) then it's not a worthwhile upgrade, I'd wait for a sale if you're happy with C2. They are pretty similar, at least for now.

  • i have it and really like it. I can create and idea on my iphone while i’m at work, and then airdrop it to cubasis on my ipad. but Also, I can airdrop it to my macbook pro, and open the Cubasis session, in Cubase10. this is super helpful.
the only issue i have now is my bluetooth headphones and cubasis on my iphone aren’t talking to each other quite right, even when i select the bluetooth headphones and quality settings in cubasis the audio quality is still crappy. but maybe this is just my earbuds. they are two years old. which is like 10 years in technology time 😉

  • CB3 has become my go-to for music making, particularly because I can Airdrop projects back and forth. I found I now do a lot more mixing in my car on my lunch hours at work. Simple to freeze a track if I don’t have a particular instrument on both iPad & iPhone. I haven’t had any real issues since the last update. Happy camper.

Sorry but this is a flat out lie or simply missinformation, its the law and every customers right to ask for a full refund if they are not satisfied, its what the link is for or apple is not allowed to control their App Store., what happens between a store and manufacture slash / developer is between them and none of the customers business, so if your a developer looking out for others in your community go and sue apple about their policies,

Just for the record, im a failed developer, by this I mean I tried, so hard, and I know this is not an easy platform with Apple but the results in the end have been rewarding for some of my friends, so please don't take it the wrong way, I know its seriously hard and I do encourage people to buy their apps, Lumbeats, Steinberg, Korg and many smaller developers deserve something far more then they are earning.

But its well known now that Apple operates a monopoly and the only developers on top are working for apple in some way, most of them paid to work online., this is also under scrutiny now as Apple is facing class actions for extorting customers with throw away., and this is all according to law makers not me., but of course they had been fining companies for these abuses while we customers lose out with hacked iPhone batteries etc etc.

So it’s not misinformation or a lie. You just don’t agree with it. Also you sound bitter for your wins reasons that frankly have nothing to do with this.

Your not putting any truth out there. It’s all opinion.

The fact that a refund on the App Store penalizes the developer, that’s a fact.

Whether or not you think someone should care about that when making purchasing decisions is an opinion.

nope, my statements where true and based on the facts, not my own opinion or assumption, you did not share proof that refunds hurt developers or explain why it should be the customers business to know about it in the first place..however i do support developers against abuses by Apple.

maybe your bitter about the customers having rights to return purchases and alike apple you seek to conceal this is even possible by making difficult to find the link,
but its not only possible but a consumer law with serious consequences.

Now we all know Apple mastered every possible snake oil salesman trick and more, but this is why customers like me look out for other customers, for example: Many parents with children had been scammed out of money via deceptive kids games, almost all seemed to of believed that they have to call apple for a refund and wait on the phone for hours., apple never tells them about the link until they need to legally defend themselves, but why go that far, why are you crying about refunds?

Link to parents that had to fight for refund and con artist developers after kid had no idea a game was charging real money

Why not stop Apple from abuses like their monopoly and taking 30 percent of the developers sales instead telling customers it hurts developers when they refund some crappy app?
