  • Presumably devs can control which platforms their apps are available on? Otherwise that wouldn't be fair for the likes of FabFilter or Audio Damage etc...

  • Anyone else finding the new mouse support and the mouse features a bit wonky and unstable!?
Some features (only have a Magic Mouse 1 and 2) are irregularly disabled and need a reboot to be activated again...

  • I doubt that devs will put their AU plugins into the Mac App Store and share 30% of the income with Apple. Would be nice for us though :)

  • This release is HUGE!

    • Spell checking fixed! No red underlines anymore everywhere
    • Mail app is finally slightly usable since the iOS 13 disaster
    • "kill() returned unexpected error 1" bug (causes huge battery drain and slowness in hybrid apps) is fixed after SIX MONTHS!

    UPDATE NOW!

  • Mouse changes are a bit of a mixed bag. The default behaviours are cumbersome compared to the ‘finger-swipe’ emulation of the original Assistive Touch mouse support. BUT - you can still have Assistive Touch turned on and get a combination of both! Phew.

Try it with a Magic Trackpad 2. It’s fantastic.

Great for trackpad users, but back to the mouse...

  • Great to see trackpad and better mouse support. This will enable more types of software coming to iOS in the future. Also making Daws and editing more viable on the platform.

  • Updated from 13.3 to 13.4 on both iPhone SE and 9.7" iPad Pro 1st Gen.

    Seems cool so far.

  • Hello Crew!
    Hope You're doin' good.
I'm sharing my post from one of FB groups:

Low update risk — no gigs now. Updated my 6th gen iPad. My set of iLectric, SampleTank, Korg's Module and SynthMaster Player with AUM and Keystage works normally (first impression)

The second impression is the same — nuthin' better, nothing worse. Too early to speak about CPU-DSP-Battery use from my point of view.

    Greetings!

Maybe there’s some dirt in the port that needs to be cleaned, use a toothpick or something.
(At least with lightning ports that’s one reason for glitchy connections).

I wish that was it but sadly no.

  • Well that was weird. I run from the camera connector to a Behringer UMC404HD normally keep everything but the iPad connected. So no sound until I unplugged the power from the UMC404HD, then bam, sound. So I pugged the power back in and it’s still working.

Looks like the new Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case for the Air 3 will work with the 2017 Pro 10.5.
May have to get one to see if editing in Auditor and the usual office work is a bit faster.

Edit: That case is designed for the Air 3, but is 'compatible' with the 2017 Pro 10.5. Looking at the Logitech site, it appears to not have a cutout for one of the mics, plus right-angle headphone jacks won't fit.

  • Only noticed 2 small issues with the update. 1 with Galileo 2, it added some fx ie on one patch a ring mod. The other with removing junk mail - have to do it twice to empty. Other than these it seems good.
