It probably is apparent, but I just don’t know enough about the difference between AB and AUM to perceive it. I only have AUM.
If you visit the wiki page, I have posted a number of tutorials on this topic. They might be worth a watch.
Thanks, much obliged!
This playlist includes demos of a few of the Loopers mentioned
I just got mozaic. do you have that Loopy script online anywhere? i’m real interested in using mosaic with loopy to start and stop and record.
I haven't posted them online -- as they are utilities quickly put together for the idiosyncratic way that I work -- and they are messy. I'll take a look to see if any of them would make sense to someone that isn't me and post. The scripts are pretty simple. Loopy is very straightforward. But you do need to set up the bindings as those aren't import/exportable.
For a star/stop script, can you say more about what you want? Do you want separate start and stop buttons or a button that toggles?
cool. basically i want to be able able to have Mozaic sitting at the top of my screen in AuM or audiobus. i want to play my instruments and be able to click a pad in Mozaic and record a loop,
then click it again to mute or stop a look. and basically have like 6 pads like this. that’s pretty much all i’m looking to do
You should probably just use the Audiobus palette for that. It also lets you change the loop quanta. If you haven’t watched them, check out the tutorials for Loopy, AUM and Audiobus in the wiki.
I wish someone would do a comparison video of all these iOS loopers. Guess there's too many options and uses: external instruments vs internal, using touchscreen vs hardware control, acoustic sources vs electronic, workflow, sync, etc.
I have almost all the popular iOS loopers, but never really use them. Every time a new one comes out I get swept up in FOMO and get it just in case. By the time I fool around setting it up I can never find a workflow that inspires me vs just recording/sequencing in the normal way.
i’d like to see a video like that too
Drummer audition:
Band: so what can you play?
Applicant: everything but can’t do triplets
Loopy can be hosted in AUM it’s just it cannot be placed in the output like Audiobus can.
Sorry, I’m having a fact police moment
Good point. Us guys on the force need to keep an eye on each other.
