How do I lock Fugue Machine AU to AUM sync quantum?
When I press play, Fugue Machine plays immediately, instead of waiting until the AUM clock comes around to beat 1.
This works fine with Fugue Machine as a standalone using Ableton LINK, of course.
But how do I get it working in AUM? What am I missing?

Comments
make sure you press the play button in fugue to arm it. Then it should follow AUM
That works if AUM Is stopped, and I want Fugue Machine to start when I press play in AUM’s transport.
But, if AUM is already running, and press play in Fugue Machine in the middle of a measure, FM starts immediately. How do I set it so fugue machine doesn’t start until the next measure begins.
For some reason, it doesn't work. But I have gotten some nice happy phasing accidents by "missing" the cue.
Similarly, is it possible to get AUM to control the start and stop of Patterning?
Hey @johnfromberkeley and @ExAsperis99, the Fugue Machine AUv3 launch quantization is hardcoded to 1/8th notes, which is the same for every Fugue Machine parameter. So if you hold down the play button and let go "just before" the next bar in AUM, it will start exactly on the bar. "Just before" = within an 1/8th note before the bar.
I should probably add a setting for this and make the quantization system a bit more obvious... Anyway, hope this helps :].
Thanks, man. Watch out for the coyotes downtown! See u after the zombie apocalypse.
Thank you!
That makes sense now. I have one piece that it turns out to play "correctly," I have to be an 1/8 note behind the beat!
(Wonderful app, by the way. But...is there any chance you'd introduce probability in to the steps? I have no idea how complicated that would be from a coding perspective, but for compositions it would be incredible.)
You can introduce probability to any MIDI generator using Cality by pagefall (cc: @Alexandernaut):
Or use this on any/every thing.

Yeah, I love the @artkerns apps!
One could probably rig up a Mozaic script to intercept a MIDI event until just before the next measure.
Clever
I only want probability on certain steps, not the entire sequence, but it helps that FM has each playhead separated.
Where does it sit in the signal chain? I've never quite grasped this or Autony or even Rozeta Scaler.
Put it between the sequencer and the synth.
It receives all the notes from the sequencer, but mutes some notes based on the probability settings you set up before passing the notes to the synth.
Thanks.. didn’t think of that..
I guess Drambo must have something to send this crazy?
