Converting Breath MIDI CC into other CC, Aftertouch, Velocity
Hi,
I (sometime) play a wind controller synth (namely Roland Aerophone), and I was a bit frustrated that breath control was not fully operational on the various software instrument on iOS.
I made the following plugin for mozaic in order to convert the breath MIDI CC into:
- other CC (possibly multiple, to be usable to trigger several control in synths that only allow one CC to be bound once)
- note velocity
- channel aftertouch
- polyphonic aftertouch
Disclaimer: the latter does not allow true polyphonic aftertouch, because it only send the aftertouch message for the last played note. It could be seen as useless... but in fact Animoog seems to interpret only polyphonic aftertouch, so that allows to control the Animoog pressure by breath which is... quite cool!
It seems quite a niche piece of software, but I hope it will be useful to others than me. It works with Roland aerophone AE-10, and it should work with Akai's EWI or anything monophonic that uses CC02.
