Fantasy Volcas
Reddit user No7er has put together some wild volca ideas. Some just for fun but some are making my empty wallet yearn for them to exist.
Volca Mono/Poly - 4VCO Lead Synthesizer
DEEP WANT, currently: Volca Mind - Portable recording studio
They have like 20-25 more posted https://www.reddit.com/search/?q=Fantasy Volca Fan Art

WOW!
Those are awesome. I'd snap up one of those Mono/Polys in a heartbeat.
They each look so damn cool!
Love these. Thanks for posting. If I had the skills I’d do a volca theremin crossed with a volca MPC.
That Volca KS will haunt my dreams till the end of my life 😱
https://www.reddit.com/r/volcas/comments/e7seag/fantasy_volca_fan_art_part_9_volca_aethera/ is only missing the MPC half.
Sweet! Sometimes KORG should listen
The M/P and the mind do look exciting.
MIDI I/O and MIDI clock sync in the mind 😍
I'd be happy with MIDI clock OUT by itself on something like the Mind. Just some way to sync it with external stuff. Also, when these sorts of recorders are set to some sort of musical clock it makes it a whole lot easier to do edits (similar to DAWs snapping to measure markers or whatever). My old BOSS BR-8 was set up like this. Worked great. Just sounded shit.
I'd also be plenty happy with a plain old LCD style screen. Just need to see meters and song position indicators and maybe a few dots to indicate in and out points. I've been using my tascam four-track a lot lately. It's plenty of UI.
Bonus: it would also work as a mini mixer.
I've also been using a little Tascam DP-004 lately. No sync or anything useful like that but the main draw (and something I'd like to see on my fantasy mini multitrack for sure): built in microphones. Makes it dead easy to just hit the record button. They're not wonderful but work plenty well.
So long as I'm dreaming out loud... I also want this fantasy recorder of mine to have a dead simple way to bounce all tracks down to a mono or stereo pair, preserve the originals and keep on adding junk with freshly emptied tracks. Because, digital.
@syrupcore : This is pretty cool, I’ve got one, includes onboard mics, drums, FX, cheap, easy to use, records to SD: https://www.tecobuy.co.uk/en_UK/zoom-r8-8-track-digital-recorder-interface-controller-sampler-2.html
Just a thought, there isn’t a Korg Volca vocoder is there? There probably could easily be. After all, the Microkorg has.
