OT: Naturespace sale, everything for $14.99

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/naturespace-relax-sleep-dream/id312618509

Just a heads up for this great deal of over 100 tracks, many of them very long and all of them looped perfectly. These are the highest quality nature recordings I've ever heard. I've encountered a few people on these forums who also swear by it, so I figured I'd give the heads up to anyone interested.

No, there is no Audiobus or like connection, they're just for sleep/relaxing/pure enjoyment.

I paid full price for these (£50) a couple of years ago and no regrets, I absolutely love these recordings. 😍

They're great if you want to work without distractions: put on some headphones, play these sounds and be transported to a distant forest. Perfect for getting into the right headspace for getting stuff done and shutting out the rest of the world. 🦜 🌴

I also use them to help me sleep, if I wake up stressed in the early hours I use the recordings of waves on the shore to send me back to sleep, works without fail. 🌊

Thanks for the info, are the app bundle tracks exactly the same as the iTunes album versions, or or they edited versions? oh yeah, anyone know how much space the whole collection takes up on ipad? :)

  • Wow thanks for the info. It’s super!

Judging by the release dates the app has newer content compared to the iTunes albums, but there is also a fair amount of overlap. The app is super-convenient though, since the tracks just loop endlessly and you have quite a bit of control with timers etc...

Storage on my phone is 2.77Gb.

  • Bought. So nice soundscapes here.

  • This is nice. Enjoying it... thanks!

  • Great tip, thanks! Impressive recordings and a beautiful app, too. Bundle is a bargain.

  • Great bargain. I also bought the complete collection a couple years ago at full price.
Don’t forget that if you want to purchase any of the two newest releases sounds to do so with the separate apps, so you can play both at the same time.

  • @allegedly_audible Would love to understand what you meant there… Not so clear… Thank you

    I really like myNoise https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/mynoise/id813099896

Anybody have both and prefer one over the other?

What I like about myNoise is that you can set up favourite combinations of up to 5 sounds (MultiGens) and also have those sounds vary over time (Animate).

Just downloaded free version of Naturespace and don't see similar features? At first glance anyway.

  • I love naturespace. I have owned it for ten years? Raised two children on it. Great way to go to sleep, meditate, or focus.

  • There seems to be a related product on iTunes, but it has really lame new-agey synth washes and Tibetan gongs going in the background. These tracks are just nature, right?

Mostly nature, but there are some tracks with gongs and/or synths. I would say about 90% nature.

  • @audiobussy The complete collection doesn’t include the The newest releases.
    Iceland white https://apps.apple.com/us/app/iceland-white-noise-masking/id1195279852
    or the Railfan
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/railfan-trains-locomotives/id1195349694 Collections.
You can purchase the sounds from them separately in Naturespace, but you get them all in a discount bundle in the separate apps. This will let you download them in Naturespace playing them there, or play both apps at the same time blending the sounds.

  • One of my favorite apps of all time. It’s really unique and nothing like most mediation programs or nature sounds apps because it’s “3D” audio and incredibly immersive. As interesting to audiophiles as it is to nature lovers.

A true must buy, especially in these times!

  • @SpookyZoo I have both, like both and would purchase both again. Seeing that I paid $50 for Naturespace, and it’s now only $15, I would say that it’s worth it even without the extra features in myNoise.

    Thanks for the feedback @allegedly_audible

  • Sold! Thanks everyone, so cool

  • Thanks for the heads up on this, just bought the bundle.

Wasn't aware of this app, but it will definitely be of use to me at the moment.

So good. I had a few sounds for this, probably free content? But immediately grabbed the full bundle then chilled for a mid-day with my dog, listening to thunderstorms. One of the things I miss most about Texas is sitting out on the patio when thunderstorms rolled through and dropped the temp 30˚ or more.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale!

  • Wow. I just hooked up. That’s a lot of content.

    Thanks.

Pachi thought it was pretty cool, too.

Right on! "Sheltered" is my jam.

  • @JohnnyGoodyear asked me in a different thread which were my favourite tracks, so I'll cross-post my answer here as well:

my all-time favourites are probably Serpentine and The Legend Of Nikola Tesla, but I also like these a lot:

    Imminent Wavefront
    The Night Aria
    The Secrets Of Sunlight
    Beneath The Dreaming Trees
    Cumulus Aquae
    Radiance
Sunlight In The Tall Aspen Forest
    The Ascendancy Of The Redwoods
    Solitude
    Newton Under Tree
    Hansel And Gretel
    Helios Falling
    Sun Falling Into Water
    Odin
    Rhythms Of Circadia
    Reef Breakers And Slow Fizz
    The Dreaming Phase
    The Forest
    Utopia
    Lucid Dreaming
    Ataraxis
    Sheltered

Just checking out the new Iceland ones and they are delicious too.

I'm currently writing a technical book, so putting Scrivener into full-screen mode and playing these on headphones is a great way to eliminate all distractions. The Bose NC headphones are the most immersive in terms of cutting off the outside world.

    great list, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the head up. I've been using Wildfulness 1/2 which is also very good but does not have as many sounds
    130 great sounds for $15 - what a steal

  • I LOVE the “Crows” one. Pretty leftfield. These are very nice to use for a kind of mediation / visualization session. Definitely good for stimulating creativity, 3D aspect of the sound, and the quality, are both phenomenal.
