Thanks to whoever posted about Barkfilter’s tripleband preset being a great mastering tool, I tend to drop it on the master out of everything I do now.

Thanks to whoever posted about Mela synth being worth buying just for the FX, I’m not that fussed for the synth itself but as an FX plugin it’s superb.

Thanks to @god (again) for pointing out that I just needed to adjust the latency in NS2 to get rid of crackles. NS2 has quickly become my most productive DAW I’ve ever used. I love it.

And obviously thanks to all the devs of all the apps I use pretty much daily.

    @jolico brought up Barkfilter and I have used it with pleasure. But @Daveypoo pointed out its limitations in the way I used it. (Lol, the limiter is part of its secret sauce). Dave said this when I added Barkfilter to a mix of his...

    “So, by adding compression what you've done is inadvertently removed some of the Dynamics of the performance. For instance, listen to the vocals on your version versus my version in the very beginning. Notice the Reverb is much louder on your version than it is on my version. That's because by compressing it you've thrown off the balance of the mix.”

    Of course, that was after Dave had made a complete mix. Maybe he will comment here about its usefulness or how it can be misused.
