Top YouTubers to Watch Make Music While In Quarantine - HookeAudio Article

Yesterday HookeAudio put out a list of top music makers to watch on YouTubers while in quarantine.

A few people on this forum are on the list, Jakob Haq and Busy Works Beats. However they clearly missed @Dougw from the The Sound Test Room, and The AudioDabbler

Got any other favorite music production YouTuber channels to share? Especially iOS ones? Do share.

Ha! When I look at that page every video is @jakoB_haQ.

All your base are belong to him, it seems.

  • Mike Shinoda of Linkin park

  • Hainbach's youtube posting has been prolific during the quarantine period, and he has been putting a lot of cool sample packs on his Patreon too. He's definitely not ios-targeted but there is a ton to learn, especially for people who like vintage / lofi / ambient / experimental.

  • cool thanks for channels

  • Hack music theory is good.

  • SoundForMore’s tutorials have been indispensable to my somewhat feeble grasp of all that is available in the mighty Drambo.

    Daveypoo.

    Electronisounds.

And a few that usually don’t pertain to iOS, but are invariably enlightening:

    loopop

    Red Means Recording

    Oscillator Sink

    Ricky Tinez

  • Electronicsounds has some really good tutorials.

  • More a soundcloud thing than a YouTube thing, but I also really like Jamie Lidell's Hanging out with Audiophiles. To learn more about Modular Synthesis and just get a great sense of passion for electronic music in general, Esoteric Modulations (Ed Ball and Divkid) is great.

Oh man, I love Hainbach's stuff too. He is extremely generous with his knowledge, and has such an amiable and relaxing vibe. I like youtubers who manage to be themselves behind the camera, he is definitely that. Seems to have a lot of integrity. Look mum no computer is an absolute mad scientist kind of genius, not a relaxing watch by any means, but entertaining for sure.

  • Daniel James composer. mostly hybrid orchestral trailer music. . he does some youtube , but mostly streams on twitch every Saturday. @ Hybridtwo on twitch.

  • I haven't seen anyone mentioning playpm. His channel has just saved me AU$900 by convincing me that I don't really need the new SP404mkII (ymmv). I bought a Model:Cyles and Circuit Tracks instead, har har B).

He's got a 26-part series on using iOS to deal with hardware GAS, particularly Koala. He's funny, creative and charming as f^$%.

Yeah, he's a really cool guy, also based in China. We've connected and chatted a few times. Great vids
