What is the easiest to use platform to upload my tracks onto?
Free would be ideal but I’ll pay for something that isn’t subscription.

soundcloud and bandcamp are still pretty easy and have a high recognition factor. Not sure if there's any new ones that have gained traction
Agree with both SoundCloud and bandcamp. Quick and simple. Free too. (I wouldn’t bother paying for a pro SoundCloud).
@Halftone @SimonSomeone
I wanted to avoid SoundCloud, I’ll give bandcamp a run. Thanks.
very satisfied with soundcloud, great platform...
SC is better if you want just share tracks and get some feedback from listeners, BandCamp is better if you're interested more in seklu g your music and not that mzch un feedback ;-)
Akso embedded player is better on SC than on BC, in overall SC web technology is better, more rich in terms of features.
Good point. I’m not really looking to sell. So maybe SC. Doesn’t SC have a five track limit?
no idea what is limit on free account, i don't think it's based on number track, if i good rememeber it's based on total tracks play time - maybe two hours or something like that..
@Bill_Brasky : hi, Free Soundcloud offers 3 hours of uploads, pretty generous. I do looooooong tracks, been at it for 10 months, uploaded 22 (!) tracks in that time and I’m on 81% used. I’d’ve taken their half price deal for Pro a couple of weeks back for the unlimited uploads, but couldn’t afford it. So I think I’ll be weeding the list, doing shorter edits, and moving other stuff off to YouTube and Bandcamp as time goes on. Should keep me going for a while yet. I find it very motivational to have somewhere to post my stuff, and get feedback from real people. Otherwise I’d just be noodling away to no purpose, so, yeah - Soundcloud!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Why did you want to avoid Soundcloud?
There is also https://audiomack.com/ which is interesting for a free account as you do not have any sorts of limits on uploading other than max 250mb per upload - which is great since I also tend to do quite long tracks. Sure, SoundCloud is king if you care about its community, discoverability, promotion and all that....but if you just want a simple setup for sharing this one is a worthwhile option.
I just want a place I can upload my music. I don’t do any social media type stuff (no fb, insta, Twitter) because the commenting can get pretty toxic and in general privacy. I’ve had an SC before and received some fairly toxic, immature comments. I want to avoid that as I feel SC is like the facebook of music sharing.
I had not found this in my searches. This sounds perfect for me. Thanks @Aletheia
Can’t soundcloud turn comments off? I’m using soundcloud and that would be handy.
If everything is free, how do they make money? I have tried to read theirs terms and conditions but, of course, as if it was written in Latin. Anybody here uses it? Adds? User data harvesting?
Found this article, ads in the app I think, and some other stuff mentioned. Looks definitely focussed on the urban music scene, if that's the right term.

Hmm, well, nice to see the lap between artist an audience getting down but still the add business is a disease in my eyes.
SoundCloud is pretty good. Enough space without paying. Plus if you want someone to potentially hear it that might be interested in your stuff, SoundCloud is a good place. I’ve read stories and even heard Rick Rubin say in a documentary Series that everyday he listens to several Rando SoundCloud tracks to find inspiration and even possibly someone to work with... which is obviously a long shot, lottery winner, but still... In that same documentary episode he has an artist in his recording studio, that he found off SoundCloud. I thinks it’s called Shan-gri-la, both the studio and the name of the documentary series. I believe it was on HBO maybe Showtime I forget...
Here is the preview of that documentary series it is on Showtime. Shangri-La. It’s already aired it should be available to view several ways
