Looking for an iOS App for chords mode. It exist or not?
I don't know if an app like that exist. I'm looking for something like the chords mode with the Novation Mini MK3 or Arturia Keystep.
When I play a single note on my midi controller, it will be cool if I can set the app to play minor chord, major chord, etc. I'm not sure if I'm clear, but, an app that I can use as en effect in Audiobus that transform each of the note I play in chord. If I set the app in major chord, I play C and I ear C-E-G.
Hope something like that exist.
Thanks!

By the way, I use an app like that but for arpeggio. https://appsliced.co/app?n=arpbud-midi-sequencer-more&l=list
Very cool app.
Check out Tonality. You create a set of chords for each pad - and those pads can be mapped to a midi note - so pad one can be set to C3 or whatever, pad to to C# etc.
Looks cool. Can I trigger any synth? Can I use this app lets say in Audiobus with any synth?
Here's a similar thread from a year-and-a-half ago. Most of the same apps would be recommended now:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/29743/is-there-an-app-that-plays-chords-by-pressing-a-single-note-on-a-hardware-controller
Yes if you use Tonality in a host as an AU. Just put your synth on a channel and have tonality send midi to that channel.
This thread is even more recent: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/38251/is-there-an-auv3-that-allows-you-to-set-up-one-button-chords
For my use case (pre-populated chords from a selectable scale), KB-1 is great
Drambo has a Chords mode:

For me, the best solution is ChordPolyPad because I can use it in slide-over mode and trigger chords in any DAW/sequencer.
Play chords with the left hand on ChordPolyPad while playing a lead line on the external keyboard 😎
@Montreal_Music You can use ChordPolyPad as a MIDI Filter inside Audiobus MIDI and trigger chords by sending it single notes.
Mozaic has several scripts that do this
Korg synth apps have that inbuilt also check out quantichord which can transform single note
You can checkout ScaleBud. You can trigger chords from your MIDI keyboard.
It has a lot of different scales, and you can explore triads, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th chords with their inversions!
Supports AUv3, CoreMIDI, Audiobus.

Thanks for liking ArpBud btw
what about strumming - any of apps above could do it except ChordPolyPad and Mosaic module?
Also consider Malcolm Muggins' ChordMaps2 and its 'junior' version ChordMapMidi for iPhone. These apps focus on immediate playability of various kinds of chord progressions plus additional (bass, melodic) output.
Hey cem... when ScaleBud has the inversion switch on, how do you trigger the inversions via midi?
You can use Rhythmbud to do strumming. Or Mozaic script to do both.
