Beathawk crashing

I have one project on Beathawk that suddenly doesn't want to open.

It crashes in both AUv3 and in standalone.

I exported the file from my iPad
and tried to load it on my iPhone.

Same thing.

Any suggestions?

  • Hard start your iPad? I just had a glitch with Cubasis. Would not upload to SoubdCloud and froze over and over. Hard reboot fixed it.

Thanks for the suggestion of a hard reboot.

    No, still crashes.

Is there a way to get a snapshot of it do you?

Make sure all libraries are installed, maybe you've removed something that the project relies on...?

    Good suggestion.

I only have the factory library though I did import
a drum loop to test time stretching etc which I did delete.

Do you know if the file has to be in the original directory
or will Beathawk find it anyway as I've imported the
entire directory where I had grabbed the loop from
    and it's still crashing.

    Oh cool.

Maybe if I send them the project, they
    could extract a working snapshot.

    Thanks.

  • I stopped using BeatHawk a while ago, especially as an audio unit because it wasn’t state saving in apps, if I loaded a kit using it as an audio unit in Cubasis ,then if I used it in another Daw it would load the same kit I used in Cubasis , unlike EG Pulse where it remembers the kits when you use it in different host. Is that still the case? It hasn’t been in a year, I’m guessing it hasn’t been fixed

I took your suggestion and emailed them.

    Thank you.
