Bass transformation
£50 Samick bass. Hipshot kickass bridge, Hipshot ultralite tuners and decided to go with flatwounds.
Really pleased with the result.
Paint stripped, graded sanding, varnished and finished with 400 to 12000 3M polishing papers and clear wax then buffed.
oh and burnt the body and neck with a heatgun, which resulted in a major backbow on the neck. The truss rod didn't have enough adjustment to correct it so i used a steam iron and towels to heat the neck, then clamped it in the position i wanted to set the neck. And it worked!
