Any extensive video on NanoStudio’s Obsidian mapping functions?
Trying to find a video that show in detail how one can map midi cc to the controls in Obsidian. Can I even turn on/off oscillators through mapping?

There’s not much to it. From the controller/macro page tap the hamburger menu and then tap a controller when they change colour.
Once tapped, navigate to the control in obsidian you want to map. Tap it. Done.
There are 8 mappable macros. Each macro can have multiple destinations. You can set the level of each one so you can effect each destination by a different amount with one knob/controller/automation lane.
There’s an additional x/y pad.
You can’t map oscillator on/off.
The important distinction between other apps and NS2/Obsidian is you work through macro knobs (there are eight), to which you map your controller. Then you map those to controls.
If eight controls for any one patch are enough for you then it's a nice system because you don't have to keep remapping your controller. Once it's mapped to the macro knobs, you just change the mapping from macros to whatever parameters you need. Some people dislike the limitation of number of controls, but I'm fine with it.
almost all parameters at synth edit page are mappable to macro knobs.. All synth parameters which are possible to modulate with any mod source are possible to assign to macro knob.. one macro knobs can be mapped to multiple parameters...
there are two different ways how to macro knob can control parameters
1/ direct mapping - you simply assign macro knob directly to some parameter
as said above, at macro page just tap hamburger icon, then tap macro knob, then navigate to edit page and tap control you want to map to selected macro knob...
you can add as much mappings as you want to given macro knob, until there are free slots in mod matrix... You can eventually adjust how much is macro knob affecting particular mapped parameter - just tap hamburger menu, macro knob, choose "edit dest" in menu and tweak amount of macro knob > destination parameter ..
2/ scaling of modulation routing
let's say you have LFO modulating filter cutoff with amount 70... now, if you set, in mod matrix slot for this modulation, multiplier to "knob1", it means until macro knob is on zero there is no modulation at all, if you turn macro knob all the way right you get maximum of configured modulation (in this case LFO modulating filter with amount 70)
Now, MIDI CC mapping is something different - you can use MIDI CC to tweak macro knob from external HW controller... To define MIDI CC -> Macro Knob mapping, go to mixer screen, open mixer detail and in settings page you can definie MIDI CC > macro knib mappings.
You can save that mapping as default per midi port/instrument type, so next time you load new instance of Obsidian your mapping will be already there - just tap on higlighted text, there is save menu.
