Looks like this really flew under my radar, what is it? What's new?
it will soon be an Essential App.... like Samplr as soon as it gets sample import allowing you to use your own music which is what is coming, but it looks like there is going to be even more on top of that.
So are we going to be able to build our own PG setups and share them?
Those screenshots look pretty different from what I remember.
If we can do that, it could be like a next-level KRFT kind of app/experience.
I always used to avoid wanting things too much for the fear of them being taken away from me. That feeling's back again.
it looks like they are adding a bunch of stuff, I'm confident from talking to the dev directly that we will at least get sample import
If it's that and no subscription you and I will look back at this odd Spring when yet older men and raise glasses to the lost while still shaking our heads at panning in Samplr and import for Playground suddenly and finally in the same sad season.

I think Playground is a great.
Fun, accessible and really shows the potential of a touch interface for music.
However, Beatsurfer was like a less complex Playground and was pretty tedious to program....
Take away all the content and carefully planned layers of interaction between elements and I wonder if Playground will suffer from the same or worse levels of complication/tedium?

I was just playing Playground this morning and bemoaning the fact that I can't get at it in Loopy Pro which would be a great marriage etc.
That's interesting, it was originally called Beatsurfing in the original app before they removed it from the appstore and then released Playground...I wonder if that means it's an update to the old Beatsurfing app.
So, it's been released twice and failed both times..?
I remember trying to make KRFT work like the original beatsurfing. I had mild success. I can’t believe BS is coming back. I am so excited. I had a funeral for BS a long time ago. I’d think of that app long after it was dead. Yaye..
Beatsurfing was really good, it stopped working with iOS 12 I think....
AND talking of Playground.....Anyone figured out how to get a beat or metronome playing in the background WHILE working in Playground? Just tried with 'Hey Metronome' but as soon as I open up Playground it goes quiet....
