iMini MIDI - good news!

Hi folks, I just got notification from Retronyms that they have fixed the MIDI stuck note problem in iMini - will be a little while to the update but they are on the case! GOOD NEWS! I am a happy bunny! (and so are some of you too I know :-) )

  • They could give us a channel selector once they're at it ;)

  • Thanks for the heads up Musicinclusive, it's good to hear it is being addressed.

I hope they fix the midi in issue, so that I don't have to keep using FreEWI to send midi to it.

i have a feeling it still won't work... hopefully i'm wrong.

  • " a little while " from when people began complaining about it a few months ago, or "a little while" from now?
I guess I probably know the answer to that.....

  • Well, I'm hopeful, as imini is still my favorite for synth bass. It would be nice if they'd just release the fix since it makes it completely unusable live, then add features later, but I'll take whatever it is as long as it's actually fixed.
If not, I guess life hasn't changed any so I'll be ok ;-)

I'm hopeful too :-) But - I agree - would be nice to see that out and features added. However, if it all comes together, that'll be nice too. I'm thankful they responded to the users.

  • +1 @supadom. I can't really use it in my live setup without midi channel selector.

  • Let's hope that any delay in its emergence is because they're looking at addressing all of the concerns that have been raised with MIDI not just stuck note. That would be very nice. Guess we'll wait and see what's in the update. :-)
