Zoom No Longer Able to Distribute in UK?

edited May 2020 in Other

I recently purchased a Zoom U-44 interface and their MS-70CDR. I went to their homepage today and saw this on their news page...

"Due to unexpected circumstances, the company "Zoom UK Distribution Limited" is no longer in the position of assuring distribution of Zoom products in the UK market."

https://www.zoom.co.jp/news/Zoom-in-the-UK

I hope they are able to recover as I like what they are doing with many of their products. I hope that Sound Service is able to offer quality support to help them until things get better.

I'm not sure if that's the reason but Brexit might be the cause of that, likely accelerated by Covid19.

I think it will continue for online sales/support but prices will likely go up even if only because of a recession looming.

Sounds like a Brexit thing, as their sales office is in Berlin, and we’re on course to leave without a trade deal.

I’ve got an R16, lovely bit of kit.

Almost certainly a COVID thing. Lot of problems at the moment with shipping, production, etc.
