Korg Gadget refund
I asked for a refund on KG2 which was granted but they have refused to refund the IAP's. Seems messed up to me as they can't be used. Is this a mistake or are Apple likely to reverse the decision? Starting to think I might as well have kept it even though I don't really use it.

You might have to call Apple. It’s hard to say how it will pan out though, they seem to operate differently in each country.
There is no refund on IAP. There's never been.
edit: it may seem "messed up" but with IAP you usually have a pretty good sense what you're buying into.
Yeah but if the main app doesn’t work as stated (not my experience) then IAPs are pretty much useless, aren’t they?
Exactly. and particularly with Kong Gadget where IAP can be way more that the initial app purchase. Luckily it's only Gladstone I bought. I bought that IAP at the same time because acoustic drums are essential to me.
Thanks, will see how I go with Apple. Unfortunately I didn't provide much of a reason. Just that the IAP was useless now that they have refunded the mothership.
What about Gadget did not work for you?
Yeah was kind of wondering the same thing what about Gadget was nonfunctional? Might have been good to contact KORG first?
Completely shooting in the dark but if I were to make a game of it, based on 'acoustic drums are essential' I would guess probably the less than stellar audio tracks may be one factor.
Fair lol
Bingo. It's not my main thing but I like to combine some electronic with audio. The guitar and bass effects look pretty good but I don't really think much of the audio recording. I guess I'm too used to traditional methods. Plus I have this intermittent problem with deleting tracks. It seems I'm the only person in the world with the issue. I finally got through to Korg about it but then it wasn't occurring. It seems to be a hard one to deal with based on those factors of time delay for support and intermittent occurrence.
Also all fair. The audio recording leaves some to be desired, for sure
