Good werk on this track sir 🙏
Very menacing , I noticed your a fan of the Crudebyte apps, is that what you used on this?
I like it VERY much. I was expecting the warbling voices from the 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack to come in at any moment. Gave me flashbacks of that and the original Alien - menacing, and the bleeping bits in the background gave me a sci-fi/outer space vibe.
I like this sort of sonic exploration from you. Would be interested to see this as the intro to something that develops more fully - maybe evolves over time into a different mood? More menacing? Less menacing? Just thinking out loud.
Nice stuff - so when do we get the next one?
Thanks for the nice comment.
I used 2 "Noise Melody" apps from Roli with a couple IAP sound packs:
Cinematica "Ocean's Lament"
Chillwave Drifting "Cloud Drifting"
Roli has great samples. I like to control Noice using the @Blue_Mangoo "Velocity Keyboard".
The odd noises are Erik Sight's "Strng" and "ShapeSynth AU".
I put Apesoft's Sparkle on the "ShapeSynth" and Audio Modern's "FilterStep" on the "Strng" synth.
The master bus has Magic Death Eye Stereo and FAC Alteza for tone and ambience.
Then I tied Rozeta LFO's to volumes and AU parameters throughout the AUM project... to make things dance and morph.
Well done. Definitely not interested in buying a house in that neighborhood !
It's more disturbing than that... once you enter the Model Homes you realize you already live there and there are no doors to get out: Appropriately named except for the Meadow crap. It's a tract home with no yard you can see or even reach.
I suspect that after 30 years you can get out with good credit but you can never sell it. It just goes back on the market for the next family to fall into. The best thing is the "sale" is final and no paperwork or pesky sales staff.
Check out the trailer to the movie “Vivarium”.
scary dentist track..nice one
I got that too: that was the music of György Sándor Ligeti.
Probably choir and orchestra for him though.
The photographer paid some serious dues to get this shot:
Very Disturbia. You could play drums over this. Great sound choices and placement. What’s the woman like voice? A woman?
OK. I wanted to learn to Side-Chain the new Magic Death Eye Stereo Compressor so I added an AXOn 2
track to pump drums in onto the previous Disturbia audio file.
After 20 seconds I turn off the side chain and you can hear how the drums are not "in your face". At the 30 second mark I turn it back on for the last 10 seconds.
There's a choir mixed into the Noise IAP Cinematica preset "Ocean's Lament".
I think I meant you actually wailing on a real drum set. That would be great.
I will look into the Noise pack. I like that app a lot.
Still... now I get sidechaining. I'm curious to see if it feels right to side-chain a Ravenscroft Piano over a
bed of legato strings.
I've been grabbing them a lot lately. There are a some real gems but they are not grouped by themes like the BeatHawk IAP's. So, it's more of a layered audio artifact with a few being stripped down instruments like a flute here and a clarinet there but not in the same IAP. I think Roli contracted sound designers to make them give them interesting names.
Absolutely love it, McD, great sound choices and atmosphere, 5 thumbs up.
